I used to work directly across the street from the Dupont Circle red line. Dupont Circle has long had a gay influence. My brother was gay and he lived on Church street near Dupont. Some nice specialty shops there, but the circle, itself is kinda seedy, as are most parks. Even Meridian Hill Park, also known as Malcolm X Park, is rather seedy...lots of faded glory there.

The building I lived in is now a 1.7 million dollar condo. They did not even have the subway when I lived there but DC transit ran every five minutes,it was yucky in mid summer with B.O. My hubby and I used to window shop on Connecticut ave,I used to worship at st Mathews cathedral. I miss it.
