Manhattan Transfer; though they are truly outstanding, I can reach my limit on how many of their tunes I can listen to on one sitting fairly easily.

Lambert, Hendricks & Ross were great. The pioneers AFAIK

Okay, a little offbeat choice here- The Rooftop Singers, “Walk Right In” (1963).
The double 12 string acoustic melody line in that is just fantastic.

I often tire of all the Top 40 studio versions that got so much airplay, and The Rolling Stones are no exception. But, I still love them, such a catalog, and occasionally you come across gems such as:
