McDonald's has a traffic problem and its executives know it. Now they have a plan they think will turn it around.
The company lost more than 500 million customers to close competitors since 2012, Chris Kempczinski, McDonald's USA President told investors gathered in Chicago Wednesday.

I know.
Those lowlife Rap Star commercials are a great start.
+1. terrible product and rising prices! 1.00 cokes aint gonna fix it...robotics and free fries buffets are the only thing that will save them
Is that what it was called? Formula 47? Well, they were delicious - and they were also well-salted which is imperative. It is not Mickey D’s fault if dummies think that eating there every day is a good idea. They should never have allowed the health Nazis to roll them.
I heard Mark Simone singing the praises of the Grand Mac.
“Bring back beef tallow to for the french fries.”
Yes, and fry the apple pies in it.
Offer a trump sandwich? Steak and ketchup.
I know a little about making sausage casing and hate printers. I might be interested.
Keep certain segments of society out of the restaurants, so diners can eat in peace without watching trash act like trash.
“You mean the ones who are demanding $15/hr?”
And are gonna be replaced by automation eventually because of that also.
“Offer McRib all year round.”
Bingo!
Happy Meals for adults, with ammo and condoms for toys. Also make the latter easier to chew.
“Also, some stupid decisions like not serving breakfast 24 hours a day when their customers work different hours and eat breakfast through out the day.”

I noticed a sign the other day at our local McD
“Breakfast All Day”
They must have heard your request.
“Stop tailoring the menu to vegans and hipsters that never even set foot in your stores!”
Bingo #2!
technology - translation: more automated ordering and delivery systems, in other words, layoffs
refranchising 4,000 stores - translation - getting 4,000 stores net experience off its own balance sheet (leaving what they will return to it as franchise stores).
While this all may mean something on a “per share” basis, I don’t think either one or the menu changes will greatly bring back the customers Mc Donalds lost.
I think DELIVERY tastes are changing, at least in the U.S. Where do I have a hamburger 99% of the time now? At a Smashburger - you order at an order desk and take your order number to a table; then its cooked fresh for you and brought to your table. All not sky high above McDonalds. Or at my local diner, and there too the fare is very good.
I would prefer nice, pleasant, gorgeous, blonde, blueyed 6ft tall female robots - and actual beef
Yes, it was not 100% beef tallow, but a blend, and it was truly what make McD’s what they were, the buttery delicious fries it produced. In the 80s they went to the full hydrogenated vegetable oils to avoid the saturated fat, and basically poisoned millions with unhealthy trans fat.... since they have backed off, and there is tallow in the oil again, but its not the original formula...
McD’s has a LOT of problems, but if they returned to Formula 47 I guarantee they would see their sales climb.
edible food would help
Do they look like the bottom pic?
I think Checkers actually owns McD in that regard. There is a ghetto talking “Mr. Bag” in Checkers commercial and I won’t be surprised if Mr. Bag pulls up to the drive through and starts rapping about his Glock9
