McDonald's has a traffic problem and its executives know it. Now they have a plan they think will turn it around.
The company lost more than 500 million customers to close competitors since 2012, Chris Kempczinski, McDonald's USA President told investors gathered in Chicago Wednesday.

That’s a great idea. They’ve been taking the “fast” out of fast food for many years.
Keep the Shamrock Shake year round!
[The food is garbage and it costs too much ... Thats what they need to fix.
You can buy a lunch in a decent restaurant for the current McD prices]
Yep. Exactly.
They could actually serve food rather than the tasteless soy pseudo food garbage.
Hire a private security guard to chase the heroin addicts away from your store?
Well, I’ll take McDonald’s coffee any day over Tim Hortons and that horrible Starbucks. If they could do with their food what they did with their coffee, that would help.
Yes, use the beef tallow again for the french fries, and advertise it as such. Why cater to minorities and vegans? You’ll get more people buying delicious french fries and won’t have to worry about the snowflakes.
Who here wants to pool our resources and open a whole chain of robotic controlled restaurants?
I am a computer systems engineer.
Who has fast food industry experience? (purchasing, refrigeration, sales, hardware)?
No way ... That's crazy talk!
Another of those truths that SHALL NOT be spoken.
Absolutely! Funny thing is that french fries made in beef fat has half the calories as french fries fried in vegetable oil. So the other calories come from...yes, greasy vegetable oil that soaks into the fries. Potato’s don’t soak up the saturated beef fat like they do unsaturated vegetable oil.
. Make a hamburger taste like a hamburger. Of course, bring back Hamburglar.
Beef tallow to fry potatoes in.
The minute they decided they wanted to turn McDonald’s into McCafe’s they signed their death wish....
McDonald’s grew exponentially when it focused on kids, knowing you get the kids, you get the adults... the food won’t ever compete with higher end fair, but offer reasonable consistent quality (relative) and you will do fine.
If your McDonalds looks like a coffee shop, that’s half your problem.

I’d come back for a real hamburger, breakfast all day and a Red Ryder BB gun.
McDonald’s is a mess. Worst burger in the business.
Fries are tasteless.
Too much violence particularly concerning chicken Mcnuggets. And I use the word chicken with tongue in cheek.
If it disappears no one will miss the chain.
Service is the key. When you have substandard and inconsistent sanitation and the food is consistent mediocrity all you have left is a smiling face and quick service to bring the chain back from the abyss. It appears McD’s will continue in the course above with hopes that billions spent on marketing will save them. To bad executives in most companies have never been face to face with the scum low lifes like me that actually pay their salaries.
FU! McD’s
