It's not only that minorities were over represented. Hidden Figures dramatized for political correctness a historical drama (ie: the gals didn't have to use segregated bathrooms). It was in spite of that an inspirational story of female black mathematicians who were an integral part of the success of the early space programs. It was about three gals who got it done without needing affirmative action or special breaks. When one needed to take a course in a previously segregated program, she didn't cause a riot or chaos. She asked.

So what did Hollywood do? Snub this wonderful true-life story about black women who didn't need affirmative action, rioting in the streets, or a special set of rules to accomplish great things.
