[Night Hides Not]

When I was at Benning for Jump School, several of my classmates were also at Benning, for other training. They really tried to get me to sign up for Ranger School, but I knew my limitations, such as not being a runner, need for sleep, etc. My branch was Air Defense Artillery, so it wasn't a huge prerequisite for promotion.

As it turned out, about a third of my class of 20-22 would get their Ranger Tabs, over half of us got our jump wings.

BTW, this was during the month of November, almost guaranteed to get a case of hypothermia.

The captain of our college track team was a Ranger during Vietnam. A few years ago, looked him up on the internet and sure enough he was a hero.
