Candice Wiggins' WNBA dreams quickly turned into a nightmare.
In an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, Wiggins said she was bullied for eight years in the WNBA for being straight. The former Liberty player described the culture of the league to be “very, very harmful.”
“It wasn’t like my dreams came true in the WNBA. It was quite the opposite,” Wiggins said.

UCONN Women’s basketball is great fun to watch...101 consecutive victories, 11 National Championships, 4 straight NCAA Championships and this year looks promising for 5 in a row, plus next year looks to be even better.
I know. I’m a Stanford alum myself and met her once when i was dating one of the volleyball players.
A few years ago when the LPGA stopped in central Illinois for the State Farm Open, it was pretty obvious to me a good number of the players were lesbians. All you had to do was make a visit to any of the bars in and around the hotels during tournament week. Lots of lesbian groupies and player sightings. I’m sure it hasn’t changed much. -—and by the way...I’m happy to hit a 5 iron 150 yds these days.
I really liked the roller derby gals, too.

BUT the vast majority of lesbians IMHO, are shall we say, plain to extremely ugly.
In the NBA they keep it on the down low.
Lesbian by choice are an extreme minority.

No. Candace Parker married Sheldon Williams.. Candace Parker is straight...hallelujah. Candice Wiggins played for UConn or Stanford I think.
