I never said nobody ventured into the Antarctic interior. That's your conjecture. Nobody has traveled across Antarctica though. They go to the "geographical center" and the backtrack their route back out. No flights go across Antarctica either. They go in and backtrack out on the same path as well.

I don't know where you got that information, but it's pure bovine excrement.

Humans have explored every region of Antarctica, from coast to coast. There are literally libraries worth of documenary reports and photographic evidence of these explorations. The continent has also been photographed from space. It's a solid land mass, surrounded on all sides by ocean - not a ring encircling a disk shaped body.

The idea that humans throughout history would have never ventured beyond the geographical center of that continent, is ludicrous. If it's a band of ice surrounding a flat disk, you know good and well that some humans, at some point in our history, would have ventured to the very end of it. Their stories would be legion, and every person on earth would be well acquainted with their findings. The Edge of The World would be the most well known region of The planet.

It's not, because it doesn't exist, Phil.

You can't get to the end of a band! How stupid is that!

It loops back on itself and you end up back where you started.
