I would replace the Taurus 738 with the model 709/740 in 9mm / .40 S&W respectively. Slighly more expensive, but either 9mm or .40 offers more stopping power than .380cal. Plus the 709 and 740 offer a frame mounted safety, which makes IWB and pocket carry safer.

The only issue I have with the Taurus 709 Slim is the trigger pull is a little heavy. Knowing that in advance and a little practice and you’re good.

The 738 just needs a good round to go in it. I suggest Hornady Critical Duty.
