Mr. Hawkins appears to be a fan of Ruger and Kel-Tec.

Too many pop-ups at Breitbart. Could you just name the five?

People will spend 1500 bucks for a big tv but try to budget shop something that would save their life?

There are lots out there that don’t have $1500 for a tv.

I recently bought a new SCCY 9 MM for less than $250. Double action only. It works fine except for the hard trigger pull.
Why this one? If I get it confiscated for any reason I am not out much.
To: C19fan
None of them are in my boat except I do have a 22 Mag NA Arms Sidewinder which makes a fine pocket gun when nothing else will do.

The Ruger SR22 with CCI Velocitors or Aguila Intercepters is superior for self-defense over the NAA single action only mites. A 9mm in a frame smaller than the Glock 19 is a one shot then search for the sights confusion. CZ82 is better than any in the list.

Sig-Sauer’s P 238 in .380 is a perfect pocket pistol.
Single action, however...

I’ve been reading a lot about the LCP and LC9s and one problem I’ve come across is some people have had the magazine release on them when they grip the gun because they hit the mag release button. That’s something that should never happen in a self defense gun. The LC9s also has other magazine problems.

That notion of bargain-shopping on a primary defensive firearm has always mystified me, too.
Pays yer' money for a top-quality pistol/revolver and it will very reliably serve for many decades.
Amortized over many years, buying excellent firearms upfront is the least expensive path.

The Ruger, Keltec and the S&W bodyguard .380 have really bad "lawyer proof" triggers.
The NAA is a backup not a first weapon.
Lightweight .38s are not for the recoil shy.
Looking at a Block 42, Colt Mustang, Sig P238, RUGER LCR .22 mag and a Bresa Thunder for someone that can't pull a heavy trigger and is recoil shy

Yep. I wouldn’t want to have to grip that tiny gun and cock it in a stressful situation.

People who are not rich should be able to defend themselves too.

I have a couple of Ruger LCR. One 22 Mag and one 38. For serious carry I have an Alien Gear CC holster with a S & W M&P Shield in 9mm.
I would like to get a 9mm long slide — something with a pretty good sight radius. I am about 50 miles from CZ Custom in Mesa and i hope to find myself over there at some point in time. I am a little concerned that the all steel weight of their best work will be too heavy for me to carry but I don’t want to get a Walther or other without trying one out.
