Once again, the Grammy Awards got caught with their pants around their ankles. Its a show that confused some band named Twenty One Pilots accepting an award in their underwear for a momentfor an encapsulation of this time in music, in our culture, in our history, really. But then left it up to Adele to give the credit that was due to Beyoncé for her transformative album Lemonade.

I never watch any of these asinine awards shows. They are bloated with fraudulent self-important leftard hypocrites preening for each other and the MSM. I could not care less....
25 is a phenomenally GOOD album...
I never doubted for a second that Adele was going to clean up last night. Heck, for my money, “Hello” is one of the weakest songs on the album. That’s how strong it is.
Lemonade? Meh.... I’ve listened to several. Wouldn’t spend a nickel on ANY song on it.
Poor Bouncy. She’s a victim. Those pesky honkies.

My first thought too. Glancing at the article, the writer is dead serious. This is beyond pathetic.
Not to worry. The Oscars have seen fit to nominate “minorities” in all major categories. Be certain there will be a clean sweep this year to make up for the “blackout” from last year (plus there is that need to irtue-signal).
The writer is apparently unaware that blacks constitute 13 percent of the US population and an even smaller percentage of the world from which the Grammy nominees are drawn.
A lot of people are saying Beyoncé was snubbed somehow because of her race?? Also that her album was transformative???
I am going to need an explanation. Maybe my white privilege is getting in my way. I love Billie Holliday, who sang great stuff as a black woman almost a century ago, who experienced racism for real. You know, like not being allowed to sleep in hotels on her tour, sometimes having to sleep in cars etc. who had to use the SERVICE ENTRANCE at clubs where she performed because someone with her skin color WASNT ALLOWED in the front doorway.
Many of Billie’s self-written songs were about how her man was abusive or cheated on her but she took him back because Love.
Beyoncé’s “transformative” album appears to have been about her husband Jay Z cheating on her and lying to her, and she took him back because Love.
So I need an explanation of the transformative and why we must give the award to her. Anyone?
Wow! That little episode was oozing white guilt. “I’m white, I’m British, I have black friends which are segregated from my regular friend list. But if I make this entire speech about you, Beyoncé who should have won and fake a whiny voice, I won’t feel so bad about winning and being white.
The author of this crap has to be white. It smells of white guilt and white knight syndrome.
Excellent post.
My wife is a jazz singer and Grammy voter, so we had to listen to every nominee in the top categories. 99% of them were pure garbage. We both hated Adele’s song “Hello,” but she still voted for it for Song of the Year because it was the only thing nominated that we thought even qualified as an actual song rather than just a production job. For Album of the Year, she voted for Sturgill Simpson. We didn’t like it all that much, but it was better than the other choices. It did win for Best Country Album, but it wasn’t even in her top three in that category. BTW, all the really good music is relegated to the non-televised afternoon ceremony.
Beyonce turns out overproduced, overpraised, tuneless crap that requires her being propped up by 20 different producers and “songwriters” on every track to try to make it sound like something worth listening to, which it never, ever is (and that opinion has nothing to do with race; I’d say the same about Katy Perry and any number of other generic white pop stars). If “Lemonade” was the most influential, moving musical experience of your lifetime, or even of the past year, then I feel truly sorry for you. Someone needs to introduce you to real music.
The only possible reason that a black person doesn’t get something of value is because of racism. Case closed.
Polka got scrapped in 2009... I remain hopeful that this genre will be reinstated.
Anybody remember the palatial polka clubs up in gray lakes states? Everybody went to those. Truckers, teachers, business owners, rich, poor, longhair hippy freaks, it didn’t matter - polka was serious bidniss.
OK, how many white artists have won the R&B album of the year? Now there's some racism.
exactly!! I haven’t watched then in YEARS!!
Perhaps Beyoncé would be better served if the Grammys were held in Cuba.
Wait, aren’t these artists and the members all enlightened liberals? And yet they still claim racism...
