That was supposed to be a response to post 75. Sorry.
Perhaps, Fr Gabriel is creating a safehouse for the Alexandrians.
The obligatory gay blades domestic bliss scene could have been spliced out and left for an outtake show.
My what huge bags DAryl had under his eyes and he seemed to want to hide them with his bangs.
Maggie was too skinny and that other woman who recently had a baby, looks like she is keeping the pregnancy weight.
Because if CArol, now I know how to walk through the woods quietly: heel toe, heel toe, bend your knees...
Is Ezekiel the king of the Mennonites?
That guy from the Saviors was trying to do a bad version of Negan doing a bad version of Negan.
Why do zombie women wear maxi skirts?
I wish Abraham would have been there to say something funny about the clothes lined zombies.
Carl, your girlfriend is fugly. But don’t worry babes are on the way.
The best episode in a long time. All the characters
followed the same plot line. There was a huge ratings drop last year, due mostly to disjointed, tedious, storytelling.
Just waiting for Negan to off Rick, and they can go boldly
into the great oblivion that awaits them all.
BAWHAHHAHA...yep it does read like this.
Yes, for some reason, it made me think about mowing the lawn.
Rumor has it he bought into a pizza franchise and opened up his own shop.
It's competing with the end of the football season and the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl.....
I think Fr. Gabriel just recruited some allies and they have guns........
LOL. I saw the preacher gassing up the car and thought “Oh yeah - I’ve got 6 month old gas I want to dump in the truck and get fresh stuff for the emergency generator. They’ve been out there for what - 7 years now!?”
My other thought was “That last group look like a bunch of Anarchists at a Milo speech.”
I guess I can always skip the first 40 comments on this thread so I don’t have to read about the people who haven’t watched TV since the 1950s or how the show stinks. At least the closet homo doesn’t post anymore about how he wished Daryl would be gay.
Anyways it looks like the gang has run into that group of women that Negan doesn’t know about. Did I miss the lesbian woman telling the minister about this group? Either that or they followed her (forget her name) back to Alexandria. During the credits the leader of the women said something but I couldn’t hear it. Can someone tell me what she said?
So Rick and company have a new group of Amazons to help them fight Negan. And they have explosives that Rosita can use. Now they just need Daryl to convince the King to fight.
The scene with the walker mower cable was epic.
They can't, they need him.
Everyone has some redeeming qualities. In Negan's case, it's his ability to think outside the box, his leadership skills, his managerial style and unique ability to motivate people. Add to that his sense of humor and cheerful disposition as evidenced by his always smiling.......
Who wouldn't want to work for a guy like that?
“... and they have guns...”
During Rick’s recruitment talks... I kept thinking, “Okay, there are people who want to fight but they don’t have experience or the anger within”. Rick needs more people with a violent nature AND more weapons.. thus, the “amazon women”. They would be his Ace (so to speak). In a similar event, they lost all their males (including male children) so they haven’t been kept in the dark and playing Knights and Kingdom like the other group. They are also more organized than the other groups. I fully predict the “battle scene” when it comes will be EPIC.
Brings back memories of Rush’s “All-American First Cavalry Amazon Battalion,”......LOL!
I was predicting that the Amazons would show up later during an assault on Neganville to save the day. Now I am guessing that the Kingdom will show up to save the day. It would be a great scene with the ‘knights’ on horseback riding in. I would laugh myself to death if they used nets like in Planet of the Apes.
Rick might just have enough people, guns and explosives to take on Negan. I’m still predicting that Negan will be left to his slaves for his demise, the final camera shot of Negan may be Dwight taking the iron to him.
“Who wouldn’t want to work for a guy like that.”
Maybe someone who didn’t want to get killed with a hard knock on the head....
One or two episodes ago our guys overlooked what appeared to be either a small town or city. Was it larger than that and was that where Negan and his peeps live?
Ain’t that the truth!! I loved it. The mowing down of the zombies was awesome. The end has me wondering who the newbies are. It wasn’t all females, so unless the Amazons hooked up with another party it is either the Kingdom or some other new group.
I just watched it on-demand, and I think instead that Ezekial sent his troops after all. The man with the gun and the bandana will turn out to be Daryl. Off camera, Daryl drops the bandana and Rick beams out a smile.
Could be the guy that went missing near the women's camp, too - don't recall seeing proof that the walkers got him. Looked like too many women to be a group from The Kingdom.
Also, as Gabriel drove off before the opening credits, someone else was in the car with him. I would guess it was one of the women, based on the hair. Tough to tell for sure.
I rewatched the end of the episode and concluded the newbies are not the women from the episode where Tara washed up on the beach. These are brand new people, and they have a strange look about them, lots of hoodies too. During the credits one of them is talking to Rick and says something like “We own your lives, but you have a chance to buy them back”. That might explain why the priest stole all the food, possibly to buy back his life at the expense of all the rest, but he left that clue for everyone to follow him to the boat. And that may have been part of his deal. Wow, what a traitor, so much that I find it hard to believe, there might be another angle yet to be seen.
The best course for Rick is to one up the priest and tell the newbies about Negan. Rick’s group has nothing but oh that Negan has lot’s of stuff, so you guys all go attack Negan and get a huge load of stuff. That would solve two problems at once. If that happens I would expect Negan to win the battle but be very much weakened.
And there was a clip for the next episode during the Talking Dead (which I very much enjoy) where there is a confrontation between the Saviors and the Kingdom with the King present.
Oh, speaking of the priest, he was driving out with someone a few episodes ago. Did he or someone else get out of the car and walk back to Alexandria? Either way it may have been how he met the newbies. Anyone catch what the priest said to himself while loading up all the food?
