Jared Kushner 'Incensed' By Rumors NJ Governor Chris Christie Is In line for White House Job

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner is reportedly furious over persistent rumors that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is angling for a job in the White House. Kushner’s displeasure at the prospect of Christie working alongside him at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was reported by anonymous sources.

Trump is reported to be surprised at the difficulties in implementing the changes he has sought in running a large federal bureaucracy.

The president is also reportedly at the helm of a demoralized staff whose members are largely unclear about their roles and are constantly looking over their shoulder in fear of upsetting the boss.

Christie was offered a number of positions within the new Trump administration – though not the gig he wanted, attorney general – and so he turned them all down. The New Jersey governor was reportedly offered the homeland security secretary’s position, veterans affairs secretary, the ambassadorship to Italy, or a role as a White House adviser. Christie rejected those offers because none of them included the job he really wanted – attorney general, according to NJ.com.

I disagree, the DM publishes lots of stories that are censored by the Marxist press in this country.

Their US Home section is unparalleled, a great resource.

For a man who has spent his life quickly turning his decisions into action I would actually expect that he is surprised at the difficulty of dealing with the bureauracy.

I also think he must be surprised that the good things he’s trying to do...i.e. better vetting of immigrants that will keep us all safe, are oppossed by so many people. I know I don’t understand it. I think some of these people would rather have ISIS running the country.

No kidding - Kushner might be the most trusted son-in-law in the western hemisphere. The notion this brilliant, circumspect kid woukd talk to anyone other than Trump about anything other than rainbows is absurd. Born into biz, Harvard was too ez so he was doing $20mm real estate deals in Cambridge/Somerville at 18. #fakenews

IMHO running the transition team was Christies opportunity for a Trump administration post.
He flunked by filling the transition team with typical GOPE types.
He was let go and replaced by VP Pence and lost any chance for a meaningful job in a Trump administration.

Massive projects involve navigating (and sometimes creating) massive bureaucracy. Can you imagine the systems and processes needed for building a skyscraper? Or the governmental bureaucracy for building said skyscraper in downtown Manhattan? Or in dealing with myriad foreign governments?

Since Trump isn’t much of a political animal, I could see how he would be surprised by how bitterly partisan some of his former friends in the Dem party are towards him, but I imagine he’s a quick learner and he knows how to fight.

With improbable assertions from “anonymous” sources it is quite possible these things are concocted at the back desk in the newsroom. Maybe they have a weekly small prize for originality and outrageousness.

You do realize that not only did Christie put his father in jail...NJ politics caused a rift between his uncle and his father

. This story is not hard to believe

I do believe it is possible. Trump cant do things the way he wants. How can you imagine there wouldnt be disarray. A good example is the inclusion of the green card debacle in the EO.

He is finding out just how hard it is to get things done.

Sorry Rummy, I don’t agree. I think Trump plays a deeper game and there is very little chaos occurring except on the left where they are in total disarray. I think Trump is manipulating the pieces on the board so that he can accomplish the changes he committed to.
