Even in a meaningless Pro Bowl game, the competitive spirit of some players can't be squashed.
Kirk Cousins threw a late interception off the hands of tight end Jimmy Graham, as the NFC was driving for a potential game-tying score. Instead of standing and watching the play, the free-agent-to-be quarterback hustled down the field to make the strip tackle on corner Aqib Talib.
Cousins had a simple answer when asked why he'd hustle to make that play in an exhibition.
"It's because I want to win, man," he told ESPN after the game.

I don’t even consider watching the Pro Bowl anymore. Since the game means nothing, they are not going to risk injuring themselves, and so don’t even try to play the game the way it’s meant to be played. Nothing could be more boring.
Were the teams AFC vs NFC? Or do they still do that process in which team captains choose up sides???
The Pro Bowl needs to ended, it is nonsense.
It can be called the ‘loser bowl’ since those who are playing in it are not playing in the most important game, the SB.
They tried harder this year, compared to last year.
I want that guy on my team.
How non NFL like...winning? Nah, Mr. Cousins, when you throw an interception, you are supposed to watch the guy...it’s in the rulebook.
He’d better not say, “That’s why I voted for Trump.”.
If he really wanted to win, he should have asked the coach to put in a better quarterback to replace him. ;)
He's certainly one of the few exceptions who will put a real effort into this useless game.
Exactly!
There are people you read about, like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, who compete at whatever they do. If they are playing pool, or monopoly, or HORSE or anything, they fight to win and hate to lose. Even a Pro Bowl. Cousins seems to have that in him. That’s a great quality in a quarterback.
Wonder why they had the “men” wearing ballet costumes?
Or in a person generally, no matter what line of work or endeavor they're involved in.
It was the most exciting play of the game. Interception after Jimmy Graham bobbled the ball on the 10 yard line (he would have probably scored to tie the game with one minute to go), 80 yard run back until Cousins knocked the ball out of Aqib Talib’s arm on the opposite 10 yard line as he was about to score. They spent five minutes reviewing the play to see who ended up with the ball. AFC prevailed and the game ended on two kneel downs.
