For the last 8 years leftist thugs have gotten a pass. Early on in the Obama administration, New Black Panther storm troopers the label is fitting because they were decked out in ominous uniforms stood before a polling station, weapons at hand, an obvious effort at voter intimidation that drew no official action from Eric Holders Justice Department. In effect, open season was declared by the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, and the message was received by progressives.
Those days are over, now that Holders surrogate Loretta Lynch is no longer in charge at the DOJ. Even before the law-and-order new boss Jeff Sessions is confirmed:
Most of the approximately 230 protesters arrested on Inauguration Day will be charged with felony rioting, federal prosecutors said.
The U.S. Attorneys Office said the offense is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. The office said most of those arrested will be released without having to post bail and must return to court in February.
A first group of 10 men appeared in Superior Court just before 3 p.m., and their lawyer entered a not guilty plea on their behalf. A judge released all of them on the condition they not get re-arrested in the District of Columbia.
Interim D.C. police chief Peter Newsham said Friday that 217 people were being charged with rioting.

There’s a new sheriff in town
Sounds good to me.
Nonsense, you are not seriously suggesting that the author is unaware of the threats and violence of BLM?
They are so obsessed with vaginas. They don’t like someone saying slang for vagina, but they’ll put on plays revolving around them, wear hats and dress up like them. It’s disturbing..
“I would rather euthanize than sterilize.”
That would work, except for the “release” part.
Change release to “discard”.
I must've missed that part; is that how it's going to go down?
Sounds so....unfair when you put it that way
It's in there twice:
1) "The office said most of those arrested will be released without having to post bail"
2) "A judge released all of them on the condition they not get re-arrested in the District of Columbia."
According to your second point then, the headline was just flat lead-dead wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time.
you all realize that they were released with the promise they will return for possible trial and incarceration.. which means they ain’t coming back..
I’m sure you’re correct. What I was doing was to point out a case of sloppy, hyperbolic writing.
Your point #1 says the have to appear in Feb.
Your point #2 refers to a group of 10, not all the rioters.
So we shall see what comes of it. I predict consequences.
This is a national organized crime wave starting with Ferguson. These violations need to be cumulative and not create nightly because they are the first offense in that city. Repeat offenders anywhere should face a double sentence and then doubled again until they learn they cannot burn, damage and destroy other people’s property no matter who pays them.
Deport the SOB.
Thursday at D.C. Superior Court, 10 of the 11 who were indicted by the grand jury on felony riot charges Wednesday were arraigned.
Charging documents showed some of the defendants are from as far away as Maine, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Three are from Pennsylvania, two are from Virginia, and two are from Maryland.
Those indicted Wednesday include: David Baghdadi, 39, of Rockville; Jeremy Bingham, 24, of Arlington Mass.; Matthew Fichtner, 25, of Boston; Nathaniel Jaffe, 29, of Philadelphia; Samuel Kitch, 26, of Baltimore; Tylan Paxton, 24, of Woodbridge, Va.; Colton Richardson, 26, of Savannah Ga; Matthew Stearns, 30, of Carbondale Ill.; Breton Strasburger, 22, of Pittsburgh; Nicholas Webster, 19, of Erie, Pa., and Lucas Wooden, 21, of Wilton, Maine.
All but Jaffe were scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Attorney Grandison Hill said he represented eight of the 10 who were in court. He said they are worried.
Prosecutors gathering video of the scene from various sources said new evidence is coming in every day.
The judge told the defendants to come back March 17th for their next appearance.
On Friday, 52 more people were charged with felony rioting. They face a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000.
