Pakistani mother sentenced to death after burning daughter alive in ‘honor killing’
When she learned that her daughter Zeenat Rafiq had married a man of her choosing, Parveen Bibi allegedly complained that she'd brought shame to the family and beat her until she bled; days later, she burned the 18-year-old alive.
A Pakistani court on Monday convicted Bibi of the killing and sentenced her to death. The mother was sentenced in court in Lahore City. Her son, Anees Rafique, was also sentenced to life in prison for allegedly helping his mother kill his sister, but his defense lawyer, Shahid Iqbal, said he had no role and was wrongly convicted.

And her death should be very slow and filmed for all to see who might contemplate similar crimes.
This morning the CBS affiliate had a long spot on Saturday’s women’s march. The crawler at the bottom announced that it was for “Bringing awareness to the plight of women’s equality.”
Can someone explain to me how women lack equality in the United States? What exactly is THE thing that, if it were instituted, would make them sit back and purr?
Is it about equality in the world? Do they really think that their little march will change the Islamic mentality? Do they know that it is in the third world, non-white, non-Christian cultures that treat women like cattle?
That’s the thing about the left: They tell us these problems exist but they never show any proof, we just have to take their word for it.

The practice of the parents arrangiing a marriage is very common outside of the USA.
When I married my wife 45 years ago in Viet Nam, she was the first person in her family to not get wed in an arranged marriage.
Arranged marriages are one thing, but murdering people is generally considered unacceptable in the CIVILIZED world.
Her real crime was not letting the men kill her daughter.
