The stupidest and most idiotic song I ever heard!
Bang Bang!
He shot her down.
Bang Bang!
That globalist clown.
Bang Bang!
The Young Turks frown
Bang Bang!
The Donald’s our chief now.
Paul Anka wrote the English lyrics, and the melodic structure we all know, yes. The original tune was from a French song called ‘Comme d’habitude’(As Usual) co-written by Claude Francois.
Paul heard the tune in 1966 while on holiday in South of France. He flew to Paris and acquired adaption, recording and publishing rights. Paul rewrote the lyrics with then familiar phrase ‘Me Generation’ in mind.
I would bet the whole cannoli that Ol’ Frank would have smiled a mile wide and sang ‘My Way’ with Donald by his side.
What a stupid biatch! Her father helped to give us that imbecile, horndog, doper JKF.
"...Still Crazy After All These Years..."
I haven’t paid attention to her since she posed in Playboy.
Yes it is not Sinatra’s song in many respects. He sang it but so have I, he just sang it a lot better.
The Sinatra Crime Family had nothing to do with producing this song.
I am reminded of the story regarding the use of "the Twist" where Chubby Checker sued McDonald's for using 'his song'. McDonald's had signed an agreement with Hank Ballard, the man who wrote the song. McDonald's won.
“...Nancy Sinatra cult...”
Yeah, there must be at least half a dozen members.
Just another wannabe celebrity gasping for air. Frank is rolling over in his grave.
It is sort of loosely cobbled together. I can imagine it being performed in front of a giant screen showing paintings of Peter Max, Willem DeKooning and Salvador Dali.
“I would bet the whole cannoli that Ol Frank would have smiled a mile wide and sang My Way with Donald by his side.”
I would bet you are correct.
Should we find out what Lisa Marie thinks about it?
Elvis and Sammy Davis jr also sang “My Way”....
And the Man who wrote the song is also singing
They should switch to the Sid Vicious version, just to tick her off.
And then they would have had steaks.
Will she be performing a medley of her hit song?
Paul Anka also wrote the theme song for Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show.
Actually Paul Anka only wrote the words.
It’s set to the music of the French song “Comme d’habitude” co-composed, co-written and performed in 1967 by Claude François.
Another interesting tidbit:
In 1968, then-unknown singer/songwriter David Bowie was asked by his music publisher to write English lyrics for the original French song. As Bowie relates on his VH1 Storytellers live album, his version, Even a Fool Learns to Love, was “rejected out of hand, quite rightly, I feel,” and was never recorded. Later, he reworked the chords of the French song and turned it into Life on Mars?, a track on his 1971 album Hunky Dory, and included the note “inspired by Frankie” (referring to My Way singer Frank Sinatra) in the liner notes.
