On a crisp November evening three weeks after the election, about 600 local activists gathered on a sound stage at the old Mack Sennett studios in Silver Lake where nearly a century ago the Keystone Cops slipped on banana peels and dodged pies in the face.
The crowd, which quickly overflowed the available seats and sat on the bare floor, had been convened by Beau Willimon, the creator of the Netflix series House of Cards, and a still-idealistic veteran of Howard Deans insurgent 2004 presidential campaign. As Willimon took the microphone, a gray scrim hanging behind him bore the projected exhortation: SIGN UP ACTIONGROUPS.NET, a pitch for Willimons informal network of grass-roots efforts. The disheartened but tentatively defiant message of the evening: I wont quitif you dont quit.On a crisp November evening three weeks after the election, about 600 local activists gathered on a sound stage at the old Mack Sennett studios in Silver Lake where nearly a century ago the Keystone Cops slipped on banana peels and dodged pies in the face. These avatars of Hollywood liberalism had just suffered a similar humiliation and had come to figure out how to pick themselves up and start all over again in Donald Trumps America.
It was not supposed to be like this, a defeated army sitting on the floor of an empty sound stage grasping for a chance at political impact. This was the class of people who were supposed to have a reserved seat at the table at Hillary Clintons first White House Correspondents Dinner. Now, like the deep-pocketed celebrities and industry titans who by one reliable estimate had raised some $60 million for her candidacy here, they were suddenly out in the cold. On the floor.

They mandate the certainty of snarky anti-conservative comments in virtually every prime time program and they mandate the presence of gay characters in these programs to promote "normalcy" (read that "desensitize").
The advice to "kill your TV" is not all that bad. Boycotting movies is a no brainer. They are so lame it is easy to do.
One does not simply say, “Brace yourself, Trump is coming.”
Now Hollywood knows how good Hillary is a picking pockets what a place to play three card Monte.
Redistribute hollywood's wealth.
Oh, that is excellent.
Or not, who cares?
Whenever I read something describing the left's suffering over losing the election I feel as if I've won Megabucks.
Ha!!! LOVE it!
My Schadenboner just got bigger.

Last man standing is the only show worth watching. It’s like all in the family.
Thank you. Feel free to share. With luck, that’s exactly what he’ll do!
Bumping for later.
Does anyone in the lower class of white folks...yes most of us belong in that category, according to Hollywood. WE TOO need to fight our way off the “plantation”? We too, have been down so long, it looks like up.
In my opinion, the only persons lower than a middle class or poor white man, is a native American male. We are the group that is just now breaking out and deciding that we have had enough.
Trump speaks to us, he tells a tale of working hard, applying yourself and you too can have your dream. He doesn’t see us as trailer trash, hillbillies, or po’white trash. He sees us as people, speaks our language, and bares the behinds of those who inhabit the “higher classes”, even though he himself was once thought of as just that.
Hollywood, they will never get it. The believe to the bottom of their well coifed head and pedicured feet that THEY are superior in all ways. Yes, it does have to do with class as in the days of Victorian England. We the “paupers” of America just need to see that our Lords and Ladies shall be respected in all things, and things will return to normal with our “chosen leaders” running us around like mice in a lab experiment.
You see, we the po’white trash are now waking up, feeling a little bit of the power that comes from uniting. What a force we can become if we can wake up the “people of color” that the “upper class” politicians have been pitting us against for literally decades. We are no better than the blacks, but neither are they better than us. We need to come together to take the next step in this nations evolution, and throw out those that would have us fight to the death over useless differences to the ends of time.
To those in Hollywood who see what is coming as being “off script”, well they are entirely correct. This is a rewrite, and draft in progress. We want to return to the promise of equal treatment under the law in all circumstances. Of public service being a calling, not a way to earn a Title.
Hollywood, get with it or be left behind.
Thanks. Share if so moved. :-)
