It’s a business. Grabbing the cash is what it’s about. If they can find an audience in LA this is the best move for Spanos. Free brand new stadium with a sweetheart lease and massive business opportunities. And if he sells a team in LA is worth more than a team in SD. Meanwhile the “moving fee” gives all the other owners more than $20 million. And given how terrible the Rams are they will be the better team and more likely to draw audience. Worst case scenario it buys OKC and San Antonio time to put together stadium deals and “lure” the Chargers east, and since the Rams own the stadium they can leave any time.

I understand that. I guess for me then, it means that I should view my loyalty to my NFL team as no different than my loyalty to any other large, C-suite consumer enterprise such as Disney, Kraft, Pepsi, or Target (which is none at all, basically)
