Stop all the mandated coverages in insurance.
Maternity, mental health, addiction treatments, abortion, fixed copays on drugs and such should be a la carte like they once were.

Let insurance companies cross state lines and compete.

High deductible polices with HSA should be offered. We got individual ones just before Obie care and have been grandfathered in. $5k deductible and true 100% coverage after that. Premiums have been low, my out of pocket including premiums each year have saved me a bundle over those group polices with Cadillac coverage. My wife broke her arm and had to have surgery and overnight in the hospital. BC/BS paid every dime after the $5k deductible with nary a peep.

“I’m not liking the sounds of this

Based on what?

Because he didn’t say something like “I’m gonna screw some people because it gives me free market tingles”?

I’m going to see what a businessman comes up with, not what Glenn Beck’s blog tells you what to think.

Fact is, which not one person except for Thomas Sowell has the balls to say, health care is NOT a right. Nor is health insurance.

If we want “affordable” health care, we should eliminate ALL 3rd party payers. The change would be traumatic on the provider in for a while, serious shaking out. But costs would drop like a stone.

HINT: There already is “insurance for everyone”

You just go to any emergency room and they are required to treat you.

This existed before Obamacare.

The trick is to get government OUT OF health care.

I hope “provides for” is not the same as mandatory.

Everyone should have the option for insurance, if they so choose.

‘insurance for everybody!’

‘It’s on me!’

(he is, after all, a multi-millionaire)

If everybody gets insurance, even if they can’t pay for it, everybody that can pay will pay for someone else and themselves. It is inescapable that it will cost close to what it costs now if everyone gets the same benefits.

The problem is not insurance it is the cost of healthcare and people who are supported to an equal standard by others like me.

Healthcare in this country just costs too much.

Health insurance is not health care. All those liberal maniacs yelling for 0bamacare still don’t realize that. In one local case this guy lost his local provider and the nearest one that accepted ACA was in Idaho. He lives in WA.

w\Why not put a nickel tax on all crap food, soda, smokes, weed, burger joints, booze since that is what the poor seem to like to injest, and put the money towards health care for the poor.

I'm not liking the sounds of this!!

Trump is a Truman democrat, something I've been saying since 2015. That's why he won: Americans want a government that works, in both senses of the term--a government that puts forth effort like a private business, and a government that succeeds in the objectives of the taxpayers--and Trump promises, both implicitly by being a businessman, and explicitly, to make the government work again.

Anyone who wanted Burke, or Madison, or Locke, should have voted for Cruz--though as a former Cruzer, I freely admit now that if he had won the nomination, Hillary Clinton would be preparing for her inauguration this Friday.

The majority of the country (outside of CA and NY) wants as President someone who says what he thinks, isn't bullied by the political establishment, knows how to run a business, has an inherent hatred for our enemies, and who won't shut down the government but will make it work for the people--they want Harry Truman, even if they've never heard of Harry Truman. And since the left has gone so far left they've landed on the left side of Guam and are about to topple the island over, Trump, the Truman of our time, is a long sight better than anyone else available--or as Buckley put it, he was the most conservative person who could be elected.

The entire system will be nationalized within a few years.

It’s really the only way out of the mess that’s been created, by both parties, since 1965.

We do not need insurance.
What we need is affordable health CARE
That can only happen with competition.
Monopolies cannot lower prices.

Now, what we had before were monopolies.
We don’t need that either.
