And soon after, nannying people on what they eat as well as prosecuting them for not eating “responsibly”?

Its good if individuals themselves want to monitor their own health.

Not good if its forced on people in any way.

Great. “Eatopsies” and Alexa reporting my stomach and refrigerator contents to the nanny state. Fines and taxes adjusted accordingly. And I thought the carbon footprint crap was ridiculous.

So that’s how they will determine your health insurance premiums.

...We're not at the stage yet where the test can tell us a person ate 15 chips yesterday and two sausages, but it's on the way...

If they just ask me, I will tell them. This will save million$ in test development. I will take 10%.

Yesterday we had freshly popped popcorn and watched The Lego Movie.
I put garlic salt and black pepper on mine and washed it down with a few of these (alcohol free non cloudy version).

Your morning toilet mass spectrometry result will determine your health insurance rate for that day and also set flags for causing the supermarket or convenience store scanner to deny certain choices...

"This will eventually provide a tool for personalized dietary monitoring to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

On a nearly weekly basis I get a newsletter from the company I work for called Living Healthy. It has tips on exercise and healthy dieting.

If I choose I can participate in a healthy living program that requires me to chart my exercise and get annual checkup. My participation would get me about $200 per year off of my health insurance.

The newsletter goes from the mailbox to the trashcan with no stops in between. My employer knows enough about me without me volunteering information. And I am well read on the latest theories about staying healthy without their newsletter.

This test will be just another step on the road to a Fascist Utopia where the experts will dictate to the masses how their lives must be lived for the greater glory of the State.

So that we may have socialized medicine the masses will be required to maintain a healthy diet so that the masses will be as little burden on the system as possible. This test will enable the state health system to ensure that each individual will not be placing the state in jeopardy of that individual’s unhealthy life style causing a burden on the healthcare system unnecessarily.

Libs think that it would be unconstitutional to make drug testing a requirement for receiving welfare payments. Well how will they feel about mandatory diet testing for receiving socialized medicine?

Just what will it tell them for people like me who take 4 hrs to digest 2 slices of toast and 2 egg whites? It’s supposed to take 1 hr. No fiber foods allowed to much pain to long to digest. Then there are the drugs that go with it.

My Blood Sugar test tells them how many carbs or natural sugar I eat. I’m not yet to the diabetic stage as I watch my carbs, quit eating sweets in any form. Even breading on food is an issue. Very BORING DIET. Unless you want to eat baby food.

I want a home test for how much iron, potassium, thyroid levels etc. I have and want to know how much I need to be better.

I went thru 6 doctors before one did a blood test that asked for iron levels. He told me I just needed more iron and D3. I now take the iron pills and 10,000IU of D3. Big difference it made for me. If we had home tests think about all the people this would help. I need a tricoder.

The others did blood tests but they have to ask that a particular test be done.
