I’ve known a couple guys like this — the money is great I’m sure, but more than that they just get addicted to the high-speed lifestyle while serving in special ops units and can’t let go of it.

Erik Dean Prince is an American businessman, philanthropist, and former U.S. Navy SEAL officer. Prince is best known for founding the government services and security company Blackwater USA.

There is nothing new about this. Executive Outcomes was flying Pilatus PC-7s with mounted air-to-ground rockets.

It is cool to see 40's technlogy with modern weapons. Will someone bring back the P-51 or the Corsair?

Short answer no
Longer answer, I believe that the problem with a new production run of any of the top end warbirds of WWII is that piston engines of that power range are no longer produced. Aircraft that need power in that range use turbo props today.

Saw a program about Antarctica couple nights ago.
Supply plane was a DC-3, with what looked like turbo-jet engines.

Tractor implies an accompanying trailer, a trailer with osprey-type jets? This I gotta see :)

As long as they’re targeting the right people. But over there, who can be sure?

Egypt is apparently in play as well. The latest festivities began in 2014 but the entire affair is a result of Hillary Clinton's "experience" as Secretary of State - "we came, we saw, he died." What she might have done as President is terrifying.

The P-51 is still a better CAS plane than the F35.

I’m not sure how that even figures in here. Can you expand and what you think are the concerns? Also, I assume you are referring to Betsy DeVos who is Trump’s Secretary of Education pick.

I’m guessing that because she is the sister of Prince, and his perhaps connections to Russia, somehow tie Trump into Russia as well. Is that your concern?

I’d fly those bad boys! Crop dusting bad guys is a lot more fun that dusting corn crops!

Following a link off of the original article leads to this:

It Sure Seems Like Egypt and the UAE Are at War In Libya That title is really kind of misleading because it almost seems like they are saying Egypt and the UAE are fighting each other, but that is not the case.

Within that article is this:

There are two main regimes competing for international recognition in Libya — the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord and its rival Gen. Khalifa Haftar, the head of the new Libyan National Army, along with his allies in Tobruk.

While the United Nations and the United States have backed the GNA, Egypt and other regional powers including the UAE have strongly supported Haftar and his Tobruk government. But until recently it appeared that Haftar’s backers mostly supported him only indirectly — with weapons, supplies and training for his troops.

Now it seems increasingly likely that Haftar’s boosters are directly involved in the fighting in a sustained way.

Going back to the original article there is this:

The United Arab Emirates strongly supports Gen. Khalifa Haftar and his regime in Tobruk, one of two major factions vying for power in Libya. The first Emirati AT-802 appeared at an unidentified Libyan air base, albeit with its national markings hidden, in June 2015.

So I guess you have to ask yourself, do you trust the U.S., lead by Obama, and the U.N. more than you trust Trump? For me at least, that question is an extremely easy one, resounding my trust lies with Trump. Thus the ties to DeVos is moot.

I was really struggling to fully understand the dynamics there, mainly because they only had the one paragraph in the first article linked. But to me it sounds like DeVos is aiding the the right side in this fight in Libya. Based on what I garnered from the above from the second link.

Air Tractors can carry some interesting "crop dusting" gear:

I’d pick Egypt over Obama’s USA. Hopefully This will get sorted shortly.

yeah, just the connection. Not assuming anything is up, and would doubt it out of hand, but I guess just the optics.

Which may be me being gun shy over the last umpteen years.
