With Freeper Swordmaker needing prayer for heart troubles, I thought I'd post this website for everyone else. Not involved with them at all but its information is very very helpful.
Scroll over this old-school web page to find more interesting cayenne articles. It is also very good with a tiny bit sprinkled with cinnamon in your morning coffee...

Because of your post in Swordmaker's prayer request, I tried your cayenne pepper drink. Searched for some in the kitchen, found some cayenne peppers in sampler cups that came with pizza we ate recently. Has fragments of peppers and seeds. Stirred in a quarter teaspoon into hot water in a cup. Gagged as I tried to sample it! Just the fumes going into my nose caused the gag reflex. I know, amateur hour!
Then I used a straw to suck the brew from under the surface of the floating seeds, with much better success. Finally, I found some cayenne powder in a spice rack. Folks, use the powder, much easier than the coarse grind and seeds!
I have to admit, I did feel better within minutes of trying this brew, and will do it daily and often to see any further results. I'm in my late sixties and not in the best of health and can use something to improve my body. Thanks Sontagged!

There are also capsaicin infused ointments for joint and muscle pain. The capsaicin tricks your body into thinking it is on fire and sends blood to the area, which promotes healing. It also triggers an endorphin rush and has a numbing effect.

Someone on the internet is recommending a glass of water with cayenne and lemon juice, first thing in the a.m. I have not tried that yet.

The man who runs the website gives a rundown of the best way to take cayenne... it really does work... for me it is either sprinkled with coffee and brewed (and cinnamon) or in capsules. My latest is cayenne/tumeric capsules in the morning. Really works. Cayenne also stops external bleeding.
(I pray Swordmaker gets some. Cayenne tincture should be in the refrigerator of everyone with a heart problem... just a couple of drops under the tongue when you are having an attack is helpful)

The therapeutic cayenne suggestions are good.....but there's no way to have a cayenne thread without an actual recipe. This is sweet and creamy and spicy---corn relish adds a nice crunch and pop of flavor.
Butternut Squash, Corn, and Coconut Soup / Corn Relish garnish
SOUP Sweat chp onion 5 min in heated tb ol/oil. Add one each minced gar/cl/jalapeño, 1/4 c minced cilantro stems; cook 3 min. Add chp butternut squash; cook 3 min. Add 4 c veg stock, can coconut milk, tsp salt, 1/4 tsp cayenne; BTB; simmer 15 min (squash is tender). Now puree. Adjust seasoning.
SERVE topped w/1-2 spoonfuls Corn Relish.
CORN RELISH Kernels from 3 ears corn, 2 tb chp cilantro, minced shallot, juiced lime, 1/4 tsp ea salt/sugar.

I add a pinch of cyan to most everything I cook. In small amounts, it is a great natural flavor enhancer.
It is a true miracle food.
As a non-health side note; many years ago some Cajuns I knew mixed cyan powder with exterior house paint. It made an excellent, cheap bottom paint to keep marine growth off their shrimp boat.

The article above sounds like free advertising on here to me.
Cayenne is OK but not hot enough for some of us.

I sprinkle cayenne in the bird feeders. Keeps the rodents away. Birds can’t taste it or be harmed by it.

Where do you source the cayenne/tumeric capsules? TIA.

years ago a neighbor’s pesky little dog used to soil my yard every morning. I took a fatty piece of leftover meat and coated it in cayenne flakes then left it in the yard for the critter.
He never visited us again.

I had a doctor recommend a capsacin lotion for a nerve issue I was having. I cried when he told me "all you need is an OTC cream". I thought he was just another doc who didn't understand the pain I was in. I had an appointment to see him again the next day and almost cancelled it but did what he suggested. The next day when I went into his office he said he could tell by the smile on my face, the cream had worked! No one was more surprised than me!
The cream increases your blood flow and allows the site you rub it in to, to heal by increased blood flow! BUT, I HIGHLY and can not stress hard enough...if you use a high capsaicin lotion (I purchased one that had the highest amount in it) to also buy disposable gloves and to use VERY little. I still have the original tube I bought and that was probably 7 years ago! You should really mix it with another lotion and be forewarned....don't get wet! It is VERY hot but works like nothing else I have tried!!
I suspect taking it internally would do the same thing, open up blood flow and having used that lotion for years, I am going to try the internal as well
