Because of your post in Swordmaker's prayer request, I tried your cayenne pepper drink. Searched for some in the kitchen, found some cayenne peppers in sampler cups that came with pizza we ate recently. Has fragments of peppers and seeds. Stirred in a quarter teaspoon into hot water in a cup. Gagged as I tried to sample it! Just the fumes going into my nose caused the gag reflex. I know, amateur hour!

Then I used a straw to suck the brew from under the surface of the floating seeds, with much better success. Finally, I found some cayenne powder in a spice rack. Folks, use the powder, much easier than the coarse grind and seeds!

I have to admit, I did feel better within minutes of trying this brew, and will do it daily and often to see any further results. I'm in my late sixties and not in the best of health and can use something to improve my body. Thanks Sontagged!

There are also capsaicin infused ointments for joint and muscle pain. The capsaicin tricks your body into thinking it is on fire and sends blood to the area, which promotes healing. It also triggers an endorphin rush and has a numbing effect.

The man who runs the website gives a rundown of the best way to take cayenne... it really does work... for me it is either sprinkled with coffee and brewed (and cinnamon) or in capsules. My latest is cayenne/tumeric capsules in the morning. Really works. Cayenne also stops external bleeding.

(I pray Swordmaker gets some. Cayenne tincture should be in the refrigerator of everyone with a heart problem... just a couple of drops under the tongue when you are having an attack is helpful)
