Drugs?
We must immediately ban Star Wars!
Gunman kills at least five people and wounds nine at Florida airport and Obama announces he’s releasing 22 of his Brothers from GITMO
WTF? over!
Anyone unarmed in public, in a CCW state, is a fool.
Wonder if he shot only other passengers on the same flight?
But was he wearing a HAT??!!
That’s the sort of info we need to know.
Supposedly he came in on a flight from Canada, had a checked gun, then for some reason in baggage pickup he takes weapon to restroom, loads it and shoots everybody in the head, its gotta be a Muslim.
I wonder if it's somehow related to Cuba? There is a large Cuban population in both Florida and New Jersey.
What color was his house?
Having a non-Arabic name does not preclude any “religious” ties.
“In the time of Twitter”...
“Esteban Santiago;@PoppaSawsa5
I’m not the [****]ing shooter. The guy is 165 LB and 5’7. I’m at work working.”
LOL! Poor guy.
I’m already calling false flag on this one.
Was it Mark Hamill? He was bitching about what a tough year 2016 was.
Says he had a military id. US military or somewhere else?
Granted, I've never tried to, or thought about, transporting a gun in my luggage (I live in NJ after all), but is this how it works? You put it in a checked bag, and that's it? It goes through, and you pick up your suitcase with the gun in it at baggage claim at your destination?
The TV guys shows a picture of the shooter; looked about 50, gray hair .. half bald. Then, just a little while ago, they said the guy was 26 ..?????
So, somebody has it wrong.
How long will it be before the media calls the shooter a “WHITE Hispanic”?
Wait there are two odd parts to this story.
(1) A firearm was in checked luggage on a flight from Canada.
(2) He had available ammunition for the firearm.
If you have ever gone hunting in Canada from the USA, you know that crossing the boarder with a firearm is not a trivial exercise. Last time my uncle tried to take a handgun into Canada while driving the Al-Can highway to Alaska he had to have a handgun, placed in a sealed container that had Canadian seals affixed to it and if he had broken the seal, he would have been in really deep trouble and they checked it on his leaving Canada. As to the shotgun he took that was less difficult to cross with in a motor vehicle, but still a big deal. I have a friend who got stopped at the boarder with an air rifle in his RV and they made him turn around and check it with the local sheriff before entering Canada.
Handguns are not something that normal people regularly own in Canada. I would wager that if the firearm were in checked luggage, it would be flagged and have special handling and screening.
Normally a firearm and ammunition must be stored in separate and locked pieces of baggage. I would be surprised if TSA (or the Canadian equivalent) didn't spot ammo or the firearm on their baggage screening.
I find it hard to believe that a bag containing a firearm and ammo would have been tossed out with regular baggage at the airport terminal in Florida.
I heard the radio show interupted by this special report and the reporter was lamenting that firearms are allowed on planes in checked bags. Reporter was wrong when he stated “only in extreme situations like military can check firearms” but he was a reporter and as usual, knows nothing about rules.
YES, anyone can check a firearm. Baggage claims are NOT on the “sterile” side of the airport. Wether the gun was checked in a bag or walked in from a parking lot the result would have been the same.
Now prepare new rules banning ALL firearms from flights. travel state to state with your hunting rifles? Not any more soon.
