As Barack Obama continues to reflect on his legacy in a series of exit interviews, the outgoing president says he still considers the day he met with the parents of the victims of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012 the toughest day of his presidency.
I still consider the day I traveled up to Newtown to meet with parents and address that community as the toughest day of my presidency, Obama told the History Channel in an interview that will air on Jan. 15, five days before he leaves office. Its the only time I ever saw Secret Service cry at an event. So it was brutal.
Obama himself has often been moved to tears when reflecting on the mass shooting that killed 26 people including 20 children in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14, 2012. He teared up delivering a statement the day of the massacre, at an interfaith vigil in Newtown, and even at the White House last January while announcing executive actions designed to curb gun deaths.
Every time I think about those kids, it makes me mad, Obama said Jan. 5, 2016.

In the future, IF you are going to quote my post, quote the whole damn thing . . . leaving it like you did was NOT what I said.
Never let a crisis go to waste.
Would someone hit the gong already?
This narcissist POS, his toughest day will be Jan 20, 2017
Yeah, like your evil violent inner city gangbanger types are really going to be deterred by your laws and regulations?
Even after tha horrific event he still has to make it all about himself. It wasn’t depressing for him because of the loss. It was because HE (I me I me) didn’t confiscate guns when he had super majorities in both houses. His ego is incapable of empathy or sympathy.
Get a grip, nutso.
I misread your post. Apologies.
0bama sheds tears but we all know he doesn’t give a rat’s petunia about anyone but himself. Must have been the onions.
Robbie Parker cried too, although I didn’t see many tears roll down his face however. Strange.
I agree, that would be the worst day. Too bad he had to politicize it afterwards to push gun control.
The death certificate isn’t any more legal than Barry’s BC. Look at the Registrar’s signature at the bottom that’s circled which shows her first and middle name and a weird beginning of her middle name. Then look at her signature on the left side which she signs her married name. Can’t have both.
Another quirk is she is fire chief William Thomas Halstead, Sr.’s second wife. The fire chief’s first wife is the school secretary, Barbara, and they’re the parents of Wm. Halstead, Jr. Jr. just happens to be the FEMA Emergency Management Analyst who runs these emergency drills for the Newtown area. Barbara just happened to place the first 911 call to ex-hubby at the fire dept. and you can hear in the background a lady dispatcher say something about it being a drill. Barbara and the school nurse, Sally Cox, were supposedly hiding from the shooter in the office closet until after 1 pm. That office just happened to be where the police made their HQ after the school had been cleared. Well, what a windfall the chief and the registrar got when their home was paid off along with the rest of the cast on Christmas day.
What a putz. All he cares about is taking the guns from Citizens.
I don’t know why, but it seems some FReepers just look for anything to insult and demean other FReepers.
Did you know he got Osama bin Laden?
And are you aware John Kerry was in Viet Nam?

Thank you.
Yes, they didn’t even wait until after the funerals to start their politicizing of it.
I think that really was the darkest day the country has had in the past 8 years. but I don’t think Obama Is ever all tat genuine.
If we only imposed gun control, no more guns would be stolen/s
