And Kellyanne tells about how she told Trump he was going to win, and he pushed back because of the fake polls, etc but she said “Well we’re just going to argue about it then” because she knew she was right.

I think it’s normal for business leaders to always doubt because they live in the world of reality where you never take things for granted or let down your guard. Or take naps.

He was understandably concerned election night. Polls had her leading for months, and the exits did show she would win fairly easily. The kids were telling him things didn’t look so good.

I recall him saying that he really didn’t quite believe the election day polls based on his rally sizes. Kelly Ann and his numbers guru were in disagreement with the polling. The campaign’s internal polling called every state right except for Wisconsin and Colorado.

Have to admit, I sat in front of the TV hopeful, but apprehensive at 7PM. Put a pot of coffee on at 9PM. At the start of the night, the only ray of hope I could find were results from some rural Indiana and Kentucky that had him winning 80/20. Enough to make one go hmmm in the face of exit polling.
