Obama, McCain, Lindsee, Wash Post and NY Times all suggest we need to fear and hate - and maybe fight - Putin's Russia
I still haven't seen a good, calmly argued explanation why
If Russia conquered us, would they lower our taxes to Russia's 10 percent flat rate? Would they ensure that orphans get a mom and a dad when they're adopted? Would they end discriminatory laws against traditional judeo-Christian beliefs and practices? Would they stop bureaucrats from persecuting Christian bakers?
The Left might hate Russia for its low taxes and Christian culture, but why must I?
>Russia, believe it or not, is more corrupt than the United States. Our journalists merely lie. Theirs get assassinated if they dont.
There’s more than a few dead reporters in Hillary’s wake. Oddly our media refuses to report on their assassinations. Maybe their concerned for their own skins?
Russia has been a major oil and gas producer for well over 100 years. But it's thanks to Putin that it produces almost nothing else. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize they desperately need to diversify the economy. And in Russia, doing so would be pretty easy. Putin and his thugs are too busy looting and strongarming control of private business to tolerate a normal economy.
Trump has surrounded himself with sound-minded people in his cabinet and we have non-McCains in Congress who will hopefully give us a balanced view toward Russia. We should neither kow-tow nor revert back to Cold-War playground bully talk.
So long as Trump’s primary focus is “Make America Great Again” (FROM THE INSIDE) — then we will be strong with regard to whatever comes at us from the outside.
As I said above, it’s up to the Russian people to learn from their history and to recover what is beautiful and great about their country. Our most powerful diplomatic tool is how we as a nation conduct ourselves. And the election of Trump was a powerful statement — not because of the supposed new tone it sets with regard to our relationship with them, but because of how it manifested the inner strength of OUR people to live up to OUR principles — which their government constantly puts under question as fraudulent and hypocritical.
Has anybody checked RedWulf’s IP? Is it funny that this guy only posts pro-Kremlin propaganda? The Russians have admitted to infiltrating conservative message boards. Pretty sure this guy is posting from a cubicle in the Lubyanka.
Let’s not put Russia in the same group.
They are still our enemy ,even if the Democrats for the first time in history are saying bad things about them
Why did you attribute a quote from impimp to me?
First, you clearly display no understanding of the true purpose of this thread, then you pull quotes from others without attribution and imply they came from someone else? WTF??
You think the President of the United States sets global oil prices? You really are a nut. In any event, here's to hoping President Trump calls up KSA and asks them to keep prices low. Low oil price are a boon to the global economy and if that screws Russia, who cares.
Very well said.
The true purpose of this thread? What is this, divine revelation? Anyway, my reply was to your comment. My copy-paste function screwed up.
>You think the President of the United States sets global oil prices? You really are a nut. In any event, here’s to hoping President Trump calls up KSA and asks them to keep prices low. Low oil price are a boon to the global economy and if that screws Russia, who cares.
And you’re an ignominious. The US government has twice suppressed the price of oil to harm Russia. The first was in the 80s by request of Reagan which helped hasten the fall of the Soviet Union(A good thing too) and the second time was after Russia blocked Obama’s attempt to overthrow Syria. Try reading the news from time to time and you might actually learn something.
I can’t speak for other posters, but it doesn’t make you pro-Putin to point out that the Clintons have left quite a line of dead bodies in their wake.
No, our corruption is in no way on par with the third world. It is there, though, well-covered with a veneer of attorneys, lobbyists, press monkeys and propagandists. The killings aren’t as open, I grant you. But a lot of people who dig into the wrong things do die unexpectedly. Once in a while one will break into the print and we’ll say, wow, that was weird, before forgetting it and moving on.
A group of posters have hi-jacked your thread and seem determined to steer everyone away from the topic you brought up. Apparently examining the left’s agenda to provoke conflict with Russia is something they don’t want to happen. Perhaps it’s not just the left’s agenda.
No, it's called reading skills - you should try it sometime. Read the first post. Might be your first attempt.
White populations in the West are declining as well, especially proportionately to non-white population. Higher drug use and shorter life spans among working-class whites is startling. Death rates from alcohol have tripled among white women in the past 20 years. OTOH, Christian church participation in Russia is increasing while in U.S. decreasing.
But frankly, if you're neocon non-Christian living in Bethesda or Upper East Side, you don't have much sympathy for working-class Christians, whether in Moscow, Idaho or Moscow, Russia.
Some of them are quite stubborn, it seems.

My IP will list Tacoma, WA. What is it with people like you? Get your butt kicked in a debate and you declare everyone a KGB agent?
Gee, I don’t know. Communism?
He is occasionally useful, but never trust him...

Amen to that.
If anything its the opposite. Obama has done what he could to help the Saudis keep prices from falling any further. Between a sick economy and Bakken, prices declined anyway.

Why are they our enemy? Because a war mongering Neo-Con like McCain tells me so? Screw that.
