Carrie Fisher only has one daughter (Billie Lourd).
“There’s no greater sadness than for a mother to bury a child.”
It definitely will shake your faith when you bury your firstborn in the prime of his life...My wife and I fought hard to overcome some bad/vicious feelings.,,,,
That was Zsa Zsa’s adobpted son who died.

Carrie has a 24 year old daughter.
Oh, how horrible. A mother loses a daughter she’s close to and then this happens.
Debbie was one of the most talented actresses/singer/dancers of the mid-20th century.
I’m so sorry for the pain you’re suffering. Thank the Lord the wife and I have not had to go through that but I’ve witnessed parents who find out they’ve lost a child and it’s one the most most horrible things I’ve witnessed.
Prayers for you, FRiend.
Oh geez, that IS funny. I remember after David Bowie died, and then just a couple days later, Alan Rickman died, I was imagining them in the afterlife with Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King and Rickman as the Spock-like character from Galaxy Quest, and Jareth is saying "You scene-stealing hack!" and Rickman's just smirking. If I could make memes, I'd have made that one.
No prob. Thanks for updating.
Debbie - a child of pioneers - never looked backed after that moron Fisher dumped her. She even giggled with Elizabeth Taylor later in life about their escape from that stupid drug-addicted idiot.
Debbie Reynolds - even as explained by her daughter - was a total survivor. I hope she can survive one more time. But this one must be tough.
I’m so sorry. So many of my freeper friends have experienced untold pain in their lives...
OMG! So many freepers with so much pain in their lives - I hardly know this! Bless you and keep you, my FRiend. My God keep you close to the bosom of his heart.
My wife was literally the-girl-next-door but lost a battle to breast cancer at 28.
Her brother handled most of the funeral arrangements but I chose the casket. It was a huge relief to have that help as my head was spinning & my body was numb while still trying to be a dad to our 2 girls who were 4 and 1.
Thoughts and prayers to Ms Reynolds....
I am so sorry to read of your losses. There are no words of comfort any of us can extend to take away the pain. The loss of a child is in a category of its own.
Thank you and bless you, miss marmelstein.

BTTT!
Debbie was also great with Albert Brooks in “Mother.”
Loved Tammy and the Bachelor. I posted a thread about it, some 2 weeks ago.

And it shadows everything in life for the rest of your life. My son was 13.
That IS funny. I’ll have to look for the documentary.
Carrie didn’t look/sound too good...her dear mom almost looks - and appears - younger than Carrie.
Hi, Liz! As always, you’re savvy. Yup. Debbie was ripped off by Harry, cheated on by Eddie and managed to survive all these years. After Harry stole all her money she didn’t sit down and whine. She got out and worked her ass off - doing Irene on b’way and playing Las Vegas for years. Her kids caused her trouble (I still remember the weird NYC event in the 70s when a gun went off in her rental apt. and like the trooper she was she went out and laughed about it!) but she marched forward and then gave that great performance in the Albert Brooks movie. Her family was pioneer stock and it shows with her if not with her offspring. I still remember a screening at The Players of Tony Randall’s movie “The Mating Game” in which the pregnant Debbie (with Carrie!) rolled out of a barn into a haystack without missing a beat. Carrie always remarked on that movie - with love and affection.
