I like this version very much.
But, my favorite of all time is The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Michael Cain is excellent as Scrooge.

One of my favorites at this time of the year. I thought the 1970 Scrooge with Albert Finney was good although it was a musical adaptation.

I may have time to squeeze A Christmas Carol on dvd tonight.
In just a few minutes when my wife gets dinner ready I have Christmas In Connecticut already cued up...Dennis Morgan, Barbara Stanwyck, S Z Sakell and Sydney Greenstreet...great Christmas movie!

Ol' George was born to play Ebenezer. His second best role, even better than Gen. Buck Turgeson, although Patton is the other one he was born for.
