I was coming up on 20, not much of a Moonlighting fan, barely knew who Bruce Willis was when my friends said, "Let's go the theater and see Die Hard."

We all left the theater a few hours later in full agreement that that was the best thing we'd thing on the big screen since Star Wars. There hadn't been anything like it and after Die Hard, Hollywood couldn't churn out Xerox copies fast enough.

I believe that Speed was pitched as "Die Hard on a bus."

Pretty much the same here, except I was in my mid 20’s.

I walked out thinking:

1. That was simply awesome.
2. Who is this Alan Rickman dude? That’s as good a bad guy as I ever saw.
