A year ago I lost my son and I dragged myself through the days for a time. My cousin sent a book which helped me. It is titled HEALING AFTER LOSS, daily meditations for working through grief by Martha Whitmore Hickman. It helped because she herself had lost her 16 year old daughter suddenly, so she connected to the experience. But, also just opening the book each day and reading the short page, not too deep, but usually helpful, at least was ONE thing I could somehow manage to do. I was able to mark the days and the fact that one more day had been endured felt like progress, strange as it seems. Having that one thing helped me bit by bit, slowly to return to the things in daily life. Maybe this or something similar could be a small help in a place that feels so lost. You are not alone. Prayers for you and yours.

Another way to cope with grief is to attend a grief recovery weekend entitled Beginning Experience.

Perhaps there is one in your area.
