Merry Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of the Messiah.
“No, it is not a U.S. holiday.”
Yes, it is, moron. It is on the federal schedule of federal holidays.
Stop being a self-centered, childish idiot.
Sure it is. Federal holidays
Christmas Day has been a Federal Holiday since, I think, about 1870.
EID= IED. No wonder they like that holiday.
A bang LOL.
My thoughts exactly.
EinNYC, you're the one who's being overly sensitive here.
But you are just trying to... push YOUR POV on me
Nonsense. Saying "Merry Christmas" is not trying to "push a POV" on anyone.
If someone told me "Happy Hanukah", I might note the fact that I'm not Jewish, or that I don't celabrate that holiday, but I certainly wouldn't take offense at the person giving the greeting. That's intolerant.
Indeed, if I was in Israel at the time, I'd fully expect to hear "Happy Hanukah" repeatedly, in the parlance of the dominant culture there.
So clearly you've got some kind of chip on your shoulder, IMHO...
Yeah, it’s like fireworks.
Only bigger.
Jew are hardly exempt for being insensitive to others. Every time Jewish run Hollywood and the Jewish run Networks air content that demonizes, distorts and perverts Christianity and Christians, I am offended.
We live in a pluralistic society and thank God we have the right to free speech although it is constantly being challenged by liberals and PC minds. I won't wish you a Merry Christmas because I know it offends you. I sincerely wish/pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob fill your heart with His love & Shalom!
they love the holiday to bits.
A Jewish couple joins us every year at Christmas. They’re not religious and they’re not sensitive.
I hear it is a really hot celebration.
Really burns it up.
I do NOT ask people what their religion is. Or was. Or will be in some future.
So, how am “I” supposed to know you are Jewish when I pass you on the street or in the store?
I assume I have met Jews in the past, do you carry some sort of sign or label? - assuming the absence of the male’s round head cover.
LOL.
conform or be cast out.
Seriously though; if someone wishes you a merry Christmas, they are extending a nicety that personally reverberates with them. Take it as it is meant: in good spirit and as a nicety, not as a personal affront because you think they are telling you to conform.
Sometimes a greeting or well wishing sentiment is just that and nothing more.
It’s one of those do unto other things I guess.
Happy Festivus?
Happy RamaHanuKwanzMas?
Merry Hanukawanzamas?
Lady, you’ve got issues which should be addressed in a more private treatment setting.
I only vaguely remember him having a radio show on in the DC area. Did he have some canned audio saying “it’s just an isolated incident.” ?
Totalitarian snowflakes who can’t accept the fact that others won’t behave the way they demand.
When everyone thinks alike, nobody thinks.
Puppies and coloring books coming your way, Snowflake.
