All good points. I think the key to consistent light aerobic exercise is not to do much too fast, but to do it everyday. Not getting too sore or injured and then having to force yourself to do it is a big part of being able to keeping it up. Only increasing the intensity or duration a tiny bit at a time also helps. Like you say, exercise becomes a good habit with the endorphin release and you actually get to want to do it.

Big outdoor activity cities.
Low carb High fat, ketogenic way of eating. You will lose weight, diabetes will improve or go away, and you won't be hungry. Many great websites explain it.
Normally thin people with normal hunger regulation aren't doing any of that. They simply live without thinking about what they are eating or not eating.
Also...Exposure to antibiotics may explain childhood obesity.
“....one diet fad after another and the ones who seem to lose weight and keep it off, started with the same thing...they just started walking.”
BINGO! There’s no doubt that regular physical activity counteracts a whole gamut of diseases, and the lack thereof is likely one of, if not THE leading cause of obesity. When I was a kid, I don’t remember seeing any other kids who were overweight except for just a few. Now, when I go to the grocery store I see many children who are starting out in life dealing with weight issues, and I suspect that it’s primary cause is lack of physical activities. I can testify for myself that even when I’m eating very healthy, which I usually do, if I go through a period where I’m getting sedentary, I not only start to put on a few pounds, but I start to feel physically bad. Likewise, when I get into the routine of taking my early morning walks (usually about 4-5 miles), my weight goes down to where people wonder if I’m eating enough, despite eating plenty, but the biggest ‘reward’ I receive from the daily walks is the overall sense of physical, emotional, and spiritual sense of wellbeing.
It’s so easy to do, but it takes a commitment. In the past when I’ve had a dog or two, it was an easy excuse to go for a walk. I’d just pick up that leash and watch my friend get all excited knowing we were going for a walk. Now, without having any dog in my life, I use the ‘excuse’ (as if I really needed one) that the time spent on a walk is one more time set aside for God to be used for prayer and meditation with Him. There’s certainly many of other ways to incorporate some physical activity into one’s life, but taking a walk is something that most everybody can do without needing any additional equipment.
I’ve no reason to lie. I lost 100 pounds being sedentary and just eating less of bad food.
But I DIDN’T FEEL AS GOOD as someone who lost 100 pounds should have! None of the numbers..cholesterol etc., changed.
There is NO better mental, spiritual and physical activity than walking a nice half hour or hour, on the boardwalk, the park, wherever.
I still got another hundred to lose and this time the eating less (And I am eating healthier) ain’t working as fast.
Time to get out there and walk. You’re right.

If you are diabetic or nearly so, be very careful about getting too much protein with your high fat diet. My brother-in-law literally killed himself with too much protein. He was a type one diabetic and protein is very hard on your kidneys. He ended up on dialysis when his kidneys failed and died from kidney failure.
Here is a 9 min video, Arthur’s Transformation (Extended Cut) Never, Ever Give Up!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIXOo8D9Qsc
Arthur Boorman was a disabled vet who gained so much weight that the doctors had given up hope. He found Diamond Dallas Page’s YRG i.e. Yoga for Regular Guys and sent for the video. He started at 297lb with leg braces and crutches and got down to 167 and was able to run, etc. Diamond Dallas Page even cries as he describes Arthur’s progress! Arthur did all this in his own living room!
The videos are so inspiring but the coolest part is how young Arthur looks now compared to how old he looked at the start - absolutely amazing!
He lives in MD and was written up in the Capital paper, Annapolis, about ten years ago.
Diamond Dallas Page is a wrestler who got into yoga when he was hurt. He never realized how his program would touch peoples’ lives!
I wish you success!
you know, I didn’t need any of that for the first 100. But now I do very much. I realized that I need support and videos like the one you sent me and exercise. And eating good not just less of bad. My wife was 120 when we met. She’s almost 200. We had a long talk this morning. It all ends now. No more. New president. New country. New Life.
Bet if you take a real close look if they didn’t leave out the stats, that the higher rates are in LIBERAL controlled counties. Some of the fattest people I see are from MEMPHIS, TN. Not surrounding counties.
It’s like the narcotic drug study, you have to read way down in it to find most who OD’d were already Addicted to other drugs or booze. Yet all patients are now on Restricted pain meds including cancer patients. And forced into Pain Management who hasn’t a clue to the disease. Cost with good ins is $300 per month times 12. Another DUMBO scam to suck money out of patients and tax serfs pockets for a unneeded useless doc.
Oh that looks deliious!
There’s nothing wrong with chicken. It just depends on how it is prepared.

I didn’t say there was anything “wrong” with chicken.
I hate it, no matter how it’s prepared.
