If you are diabetic or nearly so, be very careful about getting too much protein with your high fat diet. My brother-in-law literally killed himself with too much protein. He was a type one diabetic and protein is very hard on your kidneys. He ended up on dialysis when his kidneys failed and died from kidney failure.
