Well the hody has a different thing also called plasma. Chemical soup that can be contaminated by rogue molecules.

Sad to say, it is a stupid question, insofar as there is no such thing as a "damaged atom" ( discounting the possibility that you're being a smartass using the "plasma" pun here. ) Hmmmm.
