Only the gist of this says she is “out”. Conway reported to the Times that she was not going to DC, but interested in “an outside group”, preferring to stay in NYC, supposedly.
She may stay with TRUMP through the Inauguration, is my bet, if she wishes, but obviously she truly is not any longer in the “inner circle” on policy decisions and important nominations.
Personally, noticing she was no longer at Trump’s elbow, I suspect that at the point of her reluctance to accept the job offer was the point where she could no longer be among the inner circle.
When that happened is anyone’s guess, but if you are not solid and willing to commit to DC, it would seem natural to me that TRUMP would carry on with those who were solid and were going all the way — his “inner circle”.
As you know, I was concerned that Conway was way to eager for TRUMP to drop Hillary Clinton investigations.
When she said that Congress (investigative committees) “should take their cue from the President Elect and not dwell on what was said in ‘a campaign’ “, I went ballistic.
That was more than playing chess with Obama on avoiding a pardon. It was an ultimatum in her tone.
So, yes, Conway did a remarkable job with TRUMP. We are all indebted to her, but.. I didn’t really trust all of her motives either.

I agree. Trump already knows who he wants fof Secretary of State and just hasnt announced it so he can dangle it as bait to serve his purposes. Trump is decisive. After all these interviews, he knows exactly who it will be.

Trump is 4-5 moves ahead of the media at all times. He is a show man. He plays them like a fiddle. I laugh when I see threads with people here upset at trump, such as because he said he would not prosecute Hilary.I did a little editing...just for clarityDon’t listen to what he says, watch what he does. He is a master at parsing words, also at saying nothing, and also a master at what he does not say when he says something. He always leaves all his options open to exploit, no matter how much it seems to the MSM he is boxing himself in.
Like this entire Romney thing. He is trolling Romney, and GOP-e and the MSM all at the same time. Yes, part of his base is smoking because they are being fooled by his disinformation campaign too.
Watch what he does after his inauguration. Watch who really ends up Secretary of State.
I love to watch Trump play everyone for fools. He is so far out ahead of everybody, it is enjoying watching him master his craft of brinksmanship.
