Just wow.
For some reason, politically correct leftists don’t seem to like kids with autism.
Special Olympics are for kids with Down Syndrome or similar conditions.
Not autism where there are no physical issues.
This reminds me, who was that girl, Misty something, who swam so well in the 2012 Olympics, and then parents complained about her being on the swim team when she went back to college? They said she was too good and “it’s not FAIR!!”
I’m wondering if this boy’s medication for his autism gives him an advantage? Just bringing in another possible side of the issue.
poor kid identified as autistic, that’s discrimination!

Just wrong.
The award stand was not the place to make this call. If they let him in to compete, then they should give him the award when he wins.
These rules speak to the intellectual abilities.

After reading more about this, he wasn’t disqualified for being autistic, but rather because his time was too fast for the heat he was in. The rules are put in place so everyone can have a chance to win, and to prevent kids from competing against inferior competition. It’s not to determine the best of the best but to allow people with disabilities to compete.
WAKE UP AMERICA...ISLAM IS TRYING TO TAKE OVER OUR COUNTRY FROM WITHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm, I guess some special olympians are more special than others?
Wouldn’t that be like disqualifying Forrest Gump for running too fast?
Sounds like discrimination due to a handicap.
And the key part of the article which wasn’t posted tells why he was disqualified.

Apparently you cant be more than 15% faster than the time you swam in your heats......
Rory swam 15.8% faster than his heat .....
