Meet Polly, an adorable rescue goat who is blind and suffers from severe anxiety.
Her owner Leanne Lauricella rescued the baby goat and says Polly suffers from neurological problems.
Leanne said the baby goat would often run around and cry if she couldn't find her.
Her owner purchased the costume from a store for Halloween, not expecting it to have such a profound effect on her.
The duck costume helped Polly the goat go from anxious and stressed to all zen and chill.
There’s something about that duck costume that calms her.
As soon as I put it on her, she just instantly got calm. She goes into a little trance. She just closes her eyes and she’s out.

Our 12 year old Torty kitty searches the entire house looking for Mrs. POF and cries/howls when she can’t find her. Luckily neither Torty or Mrs. POF has to wear a duck costume to help Torty get over her anxiety.
Severe anxiety in a goat? Does anyone know if a “refugee” got to this goat?
If she is blind how does she know she is dressed like a duck?
The first time I heard of something like this was for one of our pus who now lives up the street. He got very anxious during thunderstorms. He now has a vest that is designed specifically for pets who have this. They put it on him when they first hear thunder and now he is as cool as a cucumber.
If she weighs the same as a duck, that would make her a witch correct?

We had seven goats on our farm in Georgia :
Blanche, Rose, Jake, Elwood, Earl, Earl and Earl.
They were the sweetest, the most loving creatures and I loved them back as much as I loved our dogs. What a good soul this woman is to help this sweet animal.

Silliness. It is the blanket thing for anxiety, not because it is a costume. A blanket/dog coat would have the same effect. Like “thunder shirt/coat” for dogs.
They also use very weighted blankets for people with anxiety.

Yes! Blind animals tug at my heartstrings. Thankfully she has someone caring for her!
