Normally I would go to my only relative I talk to in the area, my cousin, but he's down in Williamsburg on vacation. So I am home alone, made a modest Thanksgiving dinner with a New Braunsfels smoked chicken (yum!), mashed potatoes, dressing and peas. I had a co-worker invite me over to his house if I wanted to, but I politely declined - I like the guy, he is a fellow Trump supporter in my department. But I am really not alone. I have all my FReeper buds keeping me company this holiday. And for that I give thanks.
You are not alone! You will always have your irredeemable deplorable Freeper family! Happy Thanksgiving XO.
I gotta remember that quote, thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving FReeper!
I never feel alone, thanks to my FRiends! And due to the graces of modern technology, I can even FReep on the train or bus!
Ya know, I was alone too, but I had a frozen turkey dinner and the doggies had their share. I was terrified about being alone for the first time on Thanksgiving, as the kids are grown and live in other states. But I will say it was peaceful and quite. Thanks to the whole Freeper crowd as I had some good chats with you guys today. God bless everyone.
Here's one. What do you say to a woman with two black eyes? Don't make me tell you a third time.
Happy Thanksgiving! We are always with you here.
God bless.
In this day and age, alone takes an entirely different meaning. I am spending time with a bunch of folks who I have never met in person yet who I have far more in common with than the vast majority of people I know in person.
Went fishing today ...
Crab is on the Boil, Fish is ready to Fry, Yesterdays Dove Breasts wrapped in Bacon Leftovers are warming
Happy Thanksgiving to all us single guys
Gonna turn in early ... it will be busy tomorrow
My wife and I had Turkey sandwiches. They don’t have to be cooked
Fellow loner here.
Had a slice of bakery fresh cinnamon raisin bread for my Thanksgiving dinner today.
Might top it off with another slice tonight, but don’t want to get too full.
and best of all we have the Trump presidency to look forward too!!! Makes the holidays that much more enjoyable!! (imagine the opposite)
Hey there! Happy Thanksgiving! This year I invited 2 folks to join us at our family gathering, who would have otherwise been “just the 2 of them at home” today. I am so glad I invited them. The more the merrier.
I like your screen name. Having been in the greenhouse business all my life, I have called someone “dirtboy” before. He’s the guy who brings more flats or pots filled with “dirt” for me to plant up.
Have a nice evening!
All the best to you my FRiend!
That sounds tasty. We all should be thankful for what this forum brings into our lives.
dirtboy is a play on my first name of George, which is Greek for man of the Earth, and also because I garden.
There is indeed a difference between being alone and being lonely. Happy Thanksgiving.
And to you! This is a great day to reflect on what we have instead of what we do not have. Although I am happy to not have President-elect Hillary Clinton. I gotta study the Trump campaign in serious detail, it broke all the rules but still won.
Amen to that.
Happy Thanksgiving, db!
