Doesn’t the Attorney General function independently of the President? If the Attorney General considers it necessary to prosecute Hillary, would the President—properly—not interfere?

I've always thought that was how it was...until Loretta Lynch and B.O. took things gutter-level, ethically.

Of course, the Obama and Clinton Administrations operated from the gutter, and Hillary's Administration would have also; that's where these people dwell.

However, the Trump Administration will have the highest ethical standards.

The Justice Department can be expected to operate without political interference. I think it will.

Trump is magnanimous in victory, which is certainly to his credit. I don't think he will mistake magnanimity for justice, honesty, and truth.

(Notice that Trump descended into the sewer to fight Hillary because that's where she was and where he had to fight her, but, once the fight was over, he ascended back into the light and to the highest position he could take, which is where he and his family live.)

If I'm wrong about this, it will come as a huge surprise. We'll see. But I wasn't wrong about him when he first announced, and I have not been disappointed yet.
