The latest episode of Saturday Night Live saw its ratings drop to a season low with the return of host Kristen Wiig and actor Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump. Saturdays installment of SNL drew 4.7 million overall household viewers and 2.2 million among the oft-coveted 18-49 demographic. Those numbers are down substantially from last weeks overall and 18-49 viewership of 6.2 million and 3.9 million, respectfully.
The show featured Baldwin as President-elect Trump, so ignorant of foreign policy that he had to Google the meaning of ISIS. The Weekend Update segment of the show was used to mock Breitbart News and its former chairman, Steve Bannon.
Last weeks show saw iconic comedian Dave Chappelle host SNL for the first time. It was also the first show to air since President-elect Donald Trump historic election.
In October, during the premiere of SNLs 42nd season, Baldwin debuted his Trump impression alongside actress Kate McKinnon, who impersonated Hillary Clinton. As the presidential campaign heated up, so too did SNLs ratings.

Is that show still around?
These idiots are clueless. Trump is in no nonsense mode. It will come down to this.
You are either a positive force on our country and way of life or a negative force. The media does not have the right or authority to undermine our gov’t under the disquise of the first amendment.
I get a kick out of kistening of late to Meygn Kelly saying that she and Trump are now good friends.
She expected the man to lose. He didn’t
“Is that show still around?”
Sadly. Yes. It wasn’t funny in 1975 nor is it funny now.
Aw, c’mon. The liberal bubble city bit was funny!
It has been intermittently funny in the 70’s and maybe the late 80’s but that was all.
People still watch that infantile dreck?
That was funny. And it shows they get it to a point. The part where they said that there would be no police or firemen because nobody would come live there was very honest.
I don’t care. I only watched it years ago for fire marshall bill
Yes, I shared the Bubble, but let’s face it, millennial liberals are about the easiest thing there is.
LOL! Wrong show.
Unless you're thinking about Mr. Bill.
LOL. OH NO, here comes that mean Mr. Trump!
LET ME TELL YA SUMTING Dats funny when folks do that
No one wants to hear their crap anymore. They are no longer funny, that’s it.
Wake me up when SNL has the cojones to air something like the Dan Aykroyd/Richard Pryor job interview, or the Buck Henry ‘Uncle Roy’ skits.
I don’t think they care about ratings.
Their mission is to pump out liberalism and make it seem cool to young people.
Last week was terrible, Hate filled mean spirited anti-Trump skits - they really need to get over it and try to me funny - maybe poke some fun at Hillary losing and Obama moving out, that would be funny.
Or, poke fun at themselves - do a skit about a Saturday show that has the absolute worst musical guests on the planet.
If I were being lampooned on SNL, I’d demand an impersonator with at least a modicum of talent. Baldwin is no impersonator, and his writers have no clue about Trump’s policies.
