Notre Dame has been ordered to vacate wins from 2012 and 2013 after a student athletic trainer committed academic misconduct on behalf of multiple football players. The program will appeal the punishment.
The NCAA announced its findings and the penalties on Tuesday. The trainer was found to be in violation of ethical conduct rules after committing misconduct by completing coursework for two student-athletes and providing impermissible academic benefits to six others. Another student athlete was found to have committed academic misconduct on his own.

If enough schools vacate enough wins, Paterno will wind up the all-time winningest coach again.
Can you explain to me why MSU went for 2 with five minutes left in the game (last week) and ended up losing by 1pt.?

Good. I hate ‘em too.
Agree. I have no idea why he wasn’t held accountable for that kid.
Beating Penn State this weekend would go a long way. Knock them out of the B1G Championship!!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Every Buckeye fan that ever lived
All week long, Id said that if we get close to the end of the game, were going for two. Were going to take an aggressive approach and play to win the football game rather than to tie a football game at the end. Thats what I felt like we wanted to do, so we had a number of play selections. They had us covered up on that particular play. Good job by them. I felt like we still had an opportunity with four minutes to go that the risk would be that if we stopped them, we still had the opportunity to get the ball back and kick a field goal and win the football game.
Being 2-7 with no possibility for a bowl game, plus the fact that we had almost 5 minutes left to stop OSU and attempt another drive (which almost worked,) I can't disagree with going for two.
Now, going for two at the end of the Michigan game, when a simple PAT would have put us behind by 6, that I didn't understand. We failed that two point conversion as well, and UM intercepted and ran it back for 2 points.
OK
Thanks for ‘splaining that.
“This Saturday, I am a Buckeye fan.”
So is every Penn State fan. Getting them into the B1G Championship and a shot at the playoffs would go a long way to healing some deep wounds.
Curious: Why do you "hate" Notre Dame?
Cause they were 3-7 on the season and wanted to be bold in going for victory or death. It’s the right call.
We'll take another victory over ND.
Hail to Pitt!

I didn’t know Donna Brazille went to Notre Dame.
The whole thing is a joke. College football is simply a farm system for pro football. It needs to be run just like baseball’s farm system. Hire them and pay them. The majority of the athletes never graduate.
Need him now. Bet they’ll be willing to meet his price this time.
Meyer has been quoted as saying ND is his dream job.
Silence!
Funny stay from ND Nation:since Kelly was hired, USC has had four coaches, two mid season firings, two athletic directors, a postseason ban, and is 60-30. Kelly is 59-30.
Penn State’s offense is a different breed of cat this year. Should be a great game.
