Future First Lady Melania Trump and son Barron will not be moving to the White House after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, The Post has learned. The president-elect’s 46-year-old wife and their 10-year-old son are staying put at the family’s glitzy Trump Tower penthouse so that Barron can continue attending his Upper West Side private school, sources told The Post. “Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” said a source close to Trump’s transition team. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”

I believe it’s just the Oval Office that’s undergoing renovations.
I think he is on the scale, too...but I can’t claim to have experience.
I do know that they spaced out his vaccinations because of fear of the general fear of austism.
If he is on the scale, Melania won’t give a hoot what anyone thinks..she will do everything in her power to protect him. (Well she would do that anyway even if he isn’t on the scale)
So Melania puts the role of First Lady secondary to being a mother...

The haters out there are making it impossible for Barron to attend a new school. Better to leave him in the school where he is around the kids he knows and where his friends are.
I actually hope that is the case.
I saw the Objectifed interview with Trump on Fox last night. Trump is a more complex person than he is frequently portrayed as.
Given Melania’s general lack of participation in his campaign, it would not surprise me if she does not play a very active role as First Lady.
And that is really fine with me. I think the idea of First Lady as a celebrity is a relative recent phenomenon in our country.

It may even be good to disperse Congress back to their districts. It would make it a lot harder for lobbyists to operate, and for representatives to be taken over by the culture of D.C.
He owns several choppers. Marine One will be at his command as POTUS, though.
I hope this isn’t true. If it’s just to finish out this school year, that’s fine; people do that. If it’s for the entire 4-8 years, she’s snooty and elitist. It sends the message, “My child is more valuable than your children.”
In our world — the real world — when Dad’s career takes him to a new location, the family goes with him. Dad was a preacher and changed churches. No way he’d say to a new congregation, “Oh, by the way, my wife and family aren’t coming.”

Considering the mess the DUMBOS are leaving the WH, I don’t blame her. Plus she’d have to weed out all the DUMBO staff first. Redecorate the private living space from ghetto to her tasteful style.
Oval Office not fixed for Trump, dumbo has had 8 yrs to up grade it and AF1. And has failed to do so.

Miss Marmelstein I feel the same way. One of my grandsons is 10 and I can’t imagine him being put in that situation. Barron looked exhausted and overwhelmed that night and he’s a really handsome boy.
Probably started off in the modern era with Eleanor and then on to Jackie and all that Camelot crap.
I am thinking continuity here, on top of being a stellar Mom. Baron is 10 correct? ok, 6th grade, give him until 8th grade @ the NY School he is at and then transition him to a New High School perhaps in the DC area, or do they go the Prep School/Military School route like DJT did. Deerfield Academy were the current King of Jordan went comes to mind as a potential “Fit”.
I was going to speculate that it started with FDR, but I don’ t know enough history to be sure.
It would make sense, because that is when mass media really came into its own.
There is no job of “first lady”.it’s just an idiotic thing the press, grinders, and morons reading people magazine created.
