Future First Lady Melania Trump and son Barron will not be moving to the White House after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, The Post has learned. The president-elect’s 46-year-old wife and their 10-year-old son are staying put at the family’s glitzy Trump Tower penthouse so that Barron can continue attending his Upper West Side private school, sources told The Post. “Melania is extremely close to Barron, and they have become closer during the campaign,” said a source close to Trump’s transition team. “The campaign has been difficult for Barron, and she is really hoping to keep disruption to a minimum.”

The Fox interview by Harvey Levin made it clear that Melania is a very traditional mother who is the “dominant” figure in raising Barron. So this makes sense and despite the panty wadding that will doubtless go on, everything will work out just fine.
Would it be great that all house and senate members have a dorm facility in diverse district in DC where they can stay. No housing funds or special treatment. The White House should be open to the public like a museum.
Don’t forget, Sasha Obama is a senior there still.

I find it amusing that Trump, because of all his wealth--generated by himself, by the way--has so much glamor and resources.
For example, a trip to Mar-a-Lago just might persuade some on-the-fence politician to knuckle under.
And when Queen Elizabeth or Putin or the President of Whatever comes to call, Trump has a number of lavish personal residences in which to entertain, impress, and influence them.
And one of the best things about Trump is that he is ascendant. He works. His wife and children work. He values and exemplifies self-reliance and the responsibility for one's own destiny. This is the American spirit. He's the embodiment of it.
Smart move. Private DC schools loaded with establishment type kids? Trump upsets a new apple cart every day? Don’t let the kid become a piece on the chess board. When they need to be in DC, they’ll be there. Looks like there will be way more testosterone than present in the White Hut. Cue the Mr. Rogers theme.
Melania and Donald made the right choice....again.
I disagree that she would be considered snooty and elitist. But I also think that this whole thing is a sacrifice by the Trump family. The Trump family has stepped up because they love this nation and are concerned by how fast it has fallen. Tradition of First Family is not as important as restoring this nation.

....she wasn’t smiling too much either.
She was longing to make friends...
We kept praying and praying!
Mid school year she was befriended by 4 sweet, nice girls in her class and they are fast friends still a year later.
