Probably a “Keep on Trail” sign. My first time in the Everglades, I came upon an orange cone on the trail. Hmmmmm....wonder what that’s about. Hear some squeaks and small splashes. Now, I’m an inveterate swamp rat from way back, so I move in a little closer. Baby alligators! Which means mommy alligator. Babies were between me and her, or I’d have some wicked scars.
Went to Cape Kennedy in 1996. That had signs in the Visitor Center Parking lot to stay on the sidewalk because of alligators.
