My response to the email I received from Steve House Chairman of the Colorado GOP (see below)
Dear Mr House,
Thank you for your letter.
I support President Elect Trump fully.
I do not support the Colorado Republican Party in any way. The manner in which you conducted the caucuses represents the worst of establishment politics - the Colorado Republican Party was not interested in my voice - when you and your "I'm next in line"' establishment hacks have been replaced - I will come home - until then I will not support your undemocratic Robert's Rule's based disdain for the Coloradan voters.
If you think you will profit from Trump's coat tails think again.
Sincerely
Letter from Colorado Republican Party Chair:
Pat
What an amazing year it has been for Colorado Republicans. I could not begin to thank each and every one of you for all of the hard work, sweat, and tears you have put in for all of our Republican candidates and the next President of the United States Donald J. Trump.
While I believe we left everything on the field in both the U.S. Senate and presidential races, all Colorado Republicans should take solace in the fact we forced Democrats to expend resources here which ultimately helped many of our fellow Republicans around the country. You all should take great pride in being part of our wonderful Colorado team which I firmly believe helped deliver a Republican Congress and a Republican president.
At the state and local level we were resoundingly successful electing Heidi Ganahl as at-large CU Regent, and holding Republican majorities in the State Senate and Board of Education. These candidates ran outstanding races and provide a model of success for Colorado Republicans to pursue in the future.
With President-elect Trump in Washington, I am very optimistic about the prospects of Colorado's future. Given Colorado's tremendous natural resources, our economy stands to grow under a Trump administration with pro-growth and pro-resource development policies. I also remain confident President-elect Trump and Colorado's Congressional Republicans will deliver real healthcare reform that will lower insurance costs for working people.
After a rancorous campaign, it is time for all Coloradans to come together. We are Americans first and foremost, and I hope in the coming months we will all recognize that it is time to put partisan politics aside and work for the best interests of our country.
Again, thank you for your all of your efforts during this campaign. It has been an honor to work alongside each and every one of you to make our country a better place.
Best regards,
Steve House Chairman, Colorado Republican Committee
Hillary won CO. What are they smoking? Never mind.
#NeverTrumpers kept Trump from taking Colorado. Only a 2.9 pts. separation.
CO went for Hillary and their NeverTrump Senate candidate lost.
They must have some really good smoke.
So I went in and started a live Facebook video for the mirth and merriment of my friends back east. No I didn't buy anything, just did some impromptu interviewing.
That was one of the WORST three hours drive back I ever had. My shirt reeked so much of weed that I had to toss it. The dog got a bath and I took a LONG shower to get the funk off me.
I can understand how Hillary won the place.
I think they consider Clinton having to spend money in Colorado a win.
Actually it’s partially true, when Colorado pulled their backdoor shenanigans in the primary Trump came out and bashed the rigged system.
Cruz went around crowing about his great win where no one got to vote which helped finish him off.
Good job Colorado GOP!
Excellent!
I live in Denver and I listen to AM 710 most every morning. Peter Boyles nails it over and over. The Colorado GOP big shots are worthless expletive creeps. The Colorado delegates to the Cleveland convention walked out on Trump. Really, the democrats should probably donate to the Colorado GOP just to keep the current group of state Gop in power and get more democrats elected.
How could Colorado find someone even worse than Wadhams to run the Party?
It’s an amazing feat.
The VAGOP is still run by Cheap Labor Express Republicans.
Both of the recent Senate races were thrown to the Democrats because they insisted on re-running Sen. Macaca and then running Bushie leftover Ed Gillespie.
They undermined Cuccinelli and that’s why we are stuck with Clinton’s Bag Man as Gov.
They want to run Gillespie for Gov. next year. smh
Sen Corey Gardner didn’t support Trump. And former Gov Bill Owens blasted Trump in a venomous Facebook post about 2 weeks ago. These are your Colo “Republican” “leaders”
After a rancorous campaign, it is time for the people who caused the rancor to get out of the way.
Prop 107 (real presidential primary) passed overwhelmingly; so next time, the voters should have more influence.
I’ve been working and haven’t had the time to keep up.
How’d the State congress turn out for us? Any chance to get those idiotic 2013 gun control laws trashed?
Good for you!
The CO GOPe couldn’t even defeat commie Bennet
so they can take a left turn off of Pikes Peak AFAIC.
F’em! The Colorado eGOP held onto Cruz to the very end.
Logistically, I can understand why they want to run Gillespie for Governor given that he almost knocked off Mark Warner in a big surprise. If he had lost in a landslide and they (VA GOP) insisted on running Gillespie again, that would be reason for real anger.
Figures that the GOPe folks who didn’t do diddly to try to win Colorado for Trump would want to be rewarded for their crap - they have a real eye-opener in store....
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Boyles has been the best in local talk radio in Denver for years.
