The Democratic Party exploded Tuesday night.
There will be months of finger-pointing and internal reprisals over exactly what Democrats should have done differently. But the shocking thoroughness of the defeat is plain.

They have been exploding since 2010. They are now down to 5 Governorships and 5 Legislatures, let’s help them get to zero.

Let me guess:
California
Massachusetts
Illinois
Minnesota
New York
Usual suspects....so sick of these states dictating policy to flyover country.
Oh, and then there is Virginia, Washington, Oregon, and Connecticut so what am I missing? That is 9 total....
I am interested to know which 5?

The fallacy of their thinking and extreme tilt farther to the left during the Obama years is easy to explain.
They mistakenly think people elected and particularly re-elected Obama because of his hard left liberal policies and actions. Wrong. He was elected and re-elected primarily because he is black, and secondarily because he has a "D" next to his name instead of an "R". And lots of people won't criticize his leftist crap because they're afraid of being labeled "racist."
Yet, Dems persist in believing most Americans approve of what he has been doing as leftist dictator in chief. They have since doubled & tripled down on socialist ideologies and "solutions," no longer even bothering to try and hide them in many cases as they used to. Emboldened in stupidity for the wrong reasons. Dem suicide - love to see it.

Blue Dog Democrats from the Clinton era were pretty much wiped out in 2010. The few remaining either retired or were wiped out in 2012. There are no moderate Democrats left in the wings.
The GOP is starting to reap the benefits of the tea party movement, where promising conservatives have worked themselves up through the ranks.
Rats do not have a bench like that. The party leaders are dinosaurs.

Our party “leaders” are at least a cut above dinosaurs say the large mammalian fauna that replaced dinosaurs. Obsolete, out-of-touch but better then dinosaurs! May they go the way of the Megatherium (Giant Ground Sloth) also!

The answer is simple: stop nominating Presidential candidates with a sordid political history dating back to 1974 and appears to be in not good physical health, for starters!

It’s not hard to understand. The rat party was taken over by leftist, unprincipled radicals, and the people said “enough!”
