On the day before President-elect Donald Trump came to Washington, D.C., to meet with President Obama, a list of the names of possible Trump cabinet choices and other key jobs was leaked to reporters.
This being Washington and all, the list of names is undoubtedly a way to vet these choices in the court of public opinion before spending any political capital defending them.
And, revealing the list also creates a sort of buzz around the campaign.

“Those are the same names and speculation that have been floating around the Internet since Trump won.
They are not leaked from Trump-land.”

Yup. Wouldn’t depend on anything that cites “Trump-Land” and Buzzfeed as being official. It’ll all shake out most likley by the end of November anyway. I can wait.
Though I understand that speculation can be fun - but just not to count on it,
Some media load head in NH said that Kelly Ayotte was being considered for Secretary of Defense. Hell no!
Sounds more loaded for war than what Cheney’s was.
I really think SECDEF needs to be someone with a good understanding of the military and a business background. One of the biggest problems with our military is that new weapons systems are ridiculously expensive, over budget and late. Perfect examples the $800,000 gun round for the Zumwalt class destroyer or the F-22. We cannot afford to rebuild or military at crony capitalist prices.
Maybe if I could slap him for an hour or two and wear myself out, I’d forgive him.
If Trump likes Priebus (for "Legislative Czar" or whatever) that's good enough for me. The unlikely roller-coaster of a path that this election cycle has taken thus far is absolutely littered with the political and business carcasses of dozens of geniuses who were sure they knew better than Trump. David Cameron, Wassername-Slutz, Glenn "Faucet-face" Beck come to mind... briefly.
Good luck with that shit.
While these are a list of “name” politicians, I would not be too sure they will be the ones President Trump will select.
Remember that he is a Washington outsider, which may mean he wants to scout his own talent instead of just take those who are hanging around or are “recommended” to him, many by those who do not have his best interests in mind.
From elsewhere, there is the suggestion that he is having Mike Pence staff the White House. Probably a good idea, because Pence knows who can be trusted.

Trump’s successes will come with a “hard charging” cabinet who utterly reject the status quo, and are willing to root out corruption, streamline operations, fire deadwood and most of all slash regulations.
Sarah should be Sec x 3—energy, interior, VA Affairs
If this was not an ‘official’ leak - the leaker should be found and hanged (ok - just fired).
Trump should require everyone on his staff and in his cabinet to pass a CIA style BI - including a poly.
Poly them all every six months.
I like it!
Yes. I think Laura Ingraham would be an excellent choice for press sec but can she take the pay cut and time away from her children? Tony Snow was great in that position having come from radio/tv and Laura would be great at it too.
Yep he put 11 million or so behind Cruz early on.
Liberal Heads Exploding Ping!
LOL. Actually, having Milo as Press Secretary would pull in higher ratings than any prime time show.
I remember when Reagan had a cabinet meeting and the subject of all the cabinet members getting attacked came up, and he said “whats wrong with the rest of you guys!”
He would also be excellent as Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection. He would be hell on wheels and the agents would love him.
He(?) could make Hillary’s Prison clothing and Cell look fabulous!
“Stripes and bars are so in!”
