Dick Morris Predicts 269-269

It is becoming increasingly possible for there to be a tie in the Electoral College with each candidate winning 269 electoral votes. In that case, Trump would win since, in the House, the Republican Party controls 33 state delegations and each state has one vote regardless of how many Congressmen it has.

Here’s how it could happen:

• Start with Trump winning all of the states Romney won, including North Carolina — which now appears likely. That’s 206 votes.

• Then, add in Trump wins in Ohio and Iowa where he is and has been ahead. That’s 230.

• Then, add Florida where Trump is now tied, having come back in recent days. Early voting tells the story. Romney lost the early voting by 161,000 votes and then gained among Election Day voters but only enough to lose the state by 74,000. Trump is now only 32,500 behind in early voting, so, if he gets the same Election Day bounce, he’d win by 60,000 votes. That’s 259.

• And in Colorado, entirely a vote by mail state, 7,000 more Republicans than Democrats have voted so far and Trump is likely to carry the large unaffiliated vote by a good margin. That’s 268.

• For the one remaining vote Trump needs to tie, Maine has changed its system so the statewide winner only gets two electoral votes and the remaining two are determined by how each Congressional District votes. One of the districts is solidly Democrat and the other is Republican. That’s 269 and a tie.

• Beyond 269? That’s iffy. Trump needs to pull an upset in New Hampshire (4), Nevada (6), Pennsylvania (20) or Michigan (16).

When people say Trump needs to pull off an upset, they dismiss the polls.

If Trump is going to lose, why are they nervous wrecks?

Something doesn’t compute.

She’s finishing in Philly.

2012 Philly . . . 550K Obama, 91K Romney That’s 86% to 14%.

THAT is the lead Trump has to address. He has to peel off some black Philly voters. Every one he peels above 14% is powerful stuff to get PA.

THAT is where he has to undo Obama’s 310K win in 2012. Obama only won about 7 counties in PA but they were big population counties. Trump can’t concede them. There aren’t enough votes elsewhere.

20% reduction in Philly turnout . . . that would do it. That would flip PA.

If it WAS a tie, since Republicans control Congress, Democrats would recount recount recount to avoid a “Constitutional Crisis” ... even though the constitution (just as with impeachment) is perfectly clear on handling every situation. Of course, it is Democrats losing that is always considered a crisis.

unless we have a similar sleeper cell against Trump

How much do you think Soros would pay a pledged Republican elector to vote for Hillary?

I heard a man and woman talking today. The woman had an accent and she eventually said she was from Denmark. What I heard was interesting in that the man spoke fondly of gay marriage and then how much he was “going to miss Obama.” The women then said “All of Europe will miss him. All of it. The WHOLE WORLD will miss him.” Of course, that is woefully exaggerated. The man made a negative comment about Trump’s immigration policy, and how it could affect her, but at no point did either talk about Princess Clinton. The passion isn’t there for the Princess. People will vote for her because of certain issues but few admire this person. Obama may be lauded in many circles but Clinton is just a figurehead and that in itself is not only telling but nauseating.

I guess the clock might be broken to help Morris out. BUT more likely 269 to 269 is just to get headlines, something Morris hasn’t seen in years.

Morris is the epitome of a washed up old man. He plays to the moment where he’s usually not invited.

No one knows what’s going to happen. It could be good news coming or bad news coming. Since there is the possibility of bad news coming in this scenario, people are edgy.

I want to hear Megyn Kelly say “President-elect Trump”.

Agree. And I want Trump to start holding press conferences with an “Office of the President-Elect” sign like Barky did to rub their noses in it.

Or Virginia - the polls were off there by 10% in the gov race in 2014. If it’s off 5% TY, Trump takes VA.
